Here’s video of Mike Pence’s (R-IN) speech at the SRLC. He got some laughs in the beginning and things really picked up at about 6:00 into the speech. I wasn’t there, but Ed Morrissey said he really got the crowd going, judging by this video I’d say Ed’s right.
If you don’t have time to watch the entire half hour speech, scroll ahead to about 13:10, when Pence said “A nation conceived in liberty has come of age in bondage to big government.” From there he went on to talk about some members of the Obama administration who said they are “managing America’s decline” and that the job of the American president is to “reverse America’s decline.” I’m glad Pence included that, who ever would have imagined an American president would believe his job is to manage our decline? What have we come to?
The rest of the speech is just as passionate and well worth a listen. He talks about foreign policy, standing with our allies, renewing incentive and a vision for America’s future. Don’t miss the last three minutes.
