I think this is what Mike Pence was touching on about “managing America’s decline.” When Obama’s folks give speeches they pretty much confirm it. Here’s Obama’s “science czar” John Holdren telling students that the United States of America “can’t expect to be number one in everything, indefinitely.”
Sorry Holdren, most Americans don’t want our government arbitrarily “leveling the playing field” when it comes to competition with the rest of the world.

Well, you have a bunch of people giving away everything
we invent – like Clinton fixing that Chinese rocket that
failed. It is the same mentality that says – in order to
reduce immigration from Mexico, send american companies
down to mexico, with interest free loans, so they have
jobs and won’t need to come here. How is that working out ???
It looks to me like a deliberate policy to destroy the
American middle class, and all they need do is hand us some
plausible sounding excuse, and presto, millions of jobs
disappear. It sounds at least plausible that those who
have hated the ‘bourgeiosie’ all along are doig their
damndest to destroy it, while maintaining plausible
deniability.
