Obama Wants to ‘Reconnect’ With Young People, African Americans, Latinos and Women

So much for a post-racial America.

Obama’s looking for the voter surge that turned out in 2008. I don’t think it’s going to happen, and playing identity politics probably isn’t going to help.

Obama speaks with unusual demographic frankness about his coalition in his appeal to “young people, African-Americans, Latinos, and women who powered our victory in 2008 [to] stand together once again.”

He said he needs them to help continue to change America for the better. Has America been changed for the better since he took office?

Hmmm, candidates who don’t welcome my husband, father, brother and sons into the coalition? Um, no thanks!

Thinking the same thing, kate. What do we do with all those old, white guys, anyway? lol Oh, yeah, that’s right…they go to work to support all those “special interest” groups. Bleah!!!!
