Ann Marie Buerkle is running against Rep. Dan Maffei in NY 25. She spoke at the Rochester, NY tea party on tax day. I interviewed her not too long ago, and I liked what I heard. She seems to get it. She’s a mother and grandmother. She’s a career woman who understands the problems with health care, and the common sense solutions the Democrats choose to ignore. Instead, they’ve chosen big government, high tax solutions.
The more I see of Ms. Buerkle the more I like. I hope she keeps going out there and talking directly to the people. If she does, she has a good shot at defeating Dan Maffei, despite all the funding he received from outside the district.
I’ve been a bit emotional lately for personal reasons, so maybe that’s it, but this speech choked me up a bit. It isn’t some slick speaking skill, it’s just her message that impressed me. Listen for yourself.

Via Rochester Conservative, where there’s much more on the Rochester Tea Party.

I’m not sure if she’s going to be there in person, but on Thursday, April 22, at 6pm, there is a candidate vetting meeting at Bathtub Billy’s in Rochester, NY and as Miriam MacBlane described, “folks supporting Ann Marie Buerkle for the 25th district are going to request help and boots on the ground.”
Support in both Rochester and Syracuse is vital in getting Ann Marie elected!
