Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is sick and tired of waiting for the federal government and BP to do something about the oil spill in the Gulf. He’s clearly frustrated and furious. Not only has the oil well not been plugged up, but the Obama administration continues to fail to approve sand barriers to protect the coast.
Fox Nation: “It is so much better for us. We don’t want oil on one inch of Louisiana’s coastline, but we’d much rather fight this oil off of a hard coast, off of an island, off of an island, off of a sandy beach on our coastal islands, rather than having to fight it inside in these wetlands,” Gov. Jindal said, making the case for sand booms.
The governor said he has been forced to protect Louisiana without the approval of the Army Corps of Engineers, which is weighing the ecological impact of the construction of more sand booms.
“We are not waiting for them. We are going to build it,” Jindal said.
They’re weighing the ecological impact?!? What about the ecological impact on Louisiana’s wetlands? There’s no excuse.

“Obama administration faces mounting pressure over why the government hasn’t asserted more control over the massive Gulf spill as BP’s attempts to stop the leak fail”.
WHY IS THAT? They are eager to assert absolute control over everything else, without hesitation–why would they not do so in the face of certain economic and environmental disaster? A Lib I know defended it by saying “they have to work with BP, the oil industry has all the experts that know how to do that, the government doesn’t have people who can do that, they don’t have the resources”—-really? Our Navy is really that inept? NASA engineers wouldn’t have a clue? You can’t ‘draft’ engineers from Exxon or some other American company? More apologizing from the left.
I love my British cousins; as inept as their system of life is at times, and as liberal as many are, still–I love them, love spending time in their midst. But I know them to be much too cautious in times of crisis, much too wrapped up in hesitation lest a plan not work. It’s the thing they dislike about Americans soooooo much: “You Yanks just think you can do anything”. Yes. We do. It’s the point of the existence of the country. Two weeks in, we should have muscled them out of the way in defense of our country and put our own people on it. Get to work or get out of the way.
It was not the British who put a man on the moon just because they believed it was possible. Or solved the problems of Apollo 13 with pencil and paper and can-do thinking. Team Obama is using this terrible disaster for their own political gain, period. The ends will always justify the means with these people. And remember, as the coastline goes so does the citizenry of the United States: you’re meaningless carnage if they can get what they want.
I hope Jindal gives the Feds a finger and does what he needs to do.

The way the Alinsky Socialists operate is they WANT CRISIS.
Doing nothing and letting the Shore turn to muck will create a crisis that they can use for stoking their Anti establishment agenda. In this case Oil Drilling. In Arizona its the same scenario only in that case its Anti Republican feelings in refusing to enforce a growing problem till it reaches CRISIS proportions.
Obama and his administration want oil washing ashore and they do not want relief efforts to stop it. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT all those CONSERVATIVE STATES who did not vote for him. THEY only care about using A CRISIS for political opportunity.
