Note for Peggy Noonan: What Made You Think He was Competent?

While I don’t disagree with the premise of Peggy Noonan’s latest column in The Wall Street Journal, I do have to ask her – what it was that made you believe Barack Obama was competent. What was it that he did to make you think he was competent?

Was it his mastery of Alinsky tactics?

Was it his record of voting “present” on the big issues?

Was it his lack of executive experience?

Was it his lack of private sector experience?

Was it his complete lack of any relevant experience?

Was it his work as a community organizer? If so, what, exactly, did his  work as a community organizer do to better his community?

Was it his ties to progressive radicals like Bill Ayers and Reverend Wright?

Was it his opinion that the Constitution was a flawed document?

Was it his unknown past?

Was it his unavailable college records?

What, Peggy, what was it that made you believe he was competent?

Oh, his ability to hire competent political operatives? You, more than anyone should know, there’s a big difference between politics and governing. President Obama still doesn’t get it. But it’s nice to see that you do. Unfortunately you’re a little late to the party.

Didn’t Althouse drink the 0bamaKool Aid during the election as well? It’s like ‘Thanks for this insight, but where were you in 2008 when all of this was still pretty obvious.

Was it his use of numerous Social Security numbers?

Was it his declaration on a student loan application stating he was a foreign student?

And then there’s the Dem standby: Was Bush at fault?

Peggy really has been a bit “off” for a number of years. I don’t know what exactly is wrong with her, but she’s like the “weird neighbor lady” to me. I pay her no attention any longer.

Peggy has become weird. Now I wonder if Dave Ramsey, and,or, Christopher Buckley have awakened to the nightmare of this tyrant wannabee in the White House.

Maybe Peggy is getting over her crush on Barack Obama.

Good one LC. It is especially pertinent that you ask these questions of Noonan.

Did no one notice that BHO’s press conference was missing something?

    NO AMERICAN FLAGS.

America sucks. He is ashamed of America and patriotism. He made plans to go to Chicago instead of Arlington for Memorial day.

While everyone is allowed to make a mistake, Noonan’s 2008 swooning over Obama falls into a different category. She is paid for her political observations, and in that arena a mistake as massive as the one she made is not really forgivable, at least in my view. I could not understand her judgment then, and I could not possibly trust it now.
