The joke's on you, America
It wasn’t all that long ago when someone with left leaning tendencies would spit out the word “Halliburton” at any mention of President George W. Bush. It became an epithet. HALLIBURTON! That was it, all conversation regarding politics was supposed to come to a halt at the utterance of the word – for some strange reason it was the left’s creepy trump card.
Fast forward to 2010. The One is in office. Mr. HopeandChange. So, what has Captain Kool Aid done about Halliburton? Why, he’s given them a no-bid contract, of course.
Bloomberg Businessweek: KBR Inc. [aka Halliburton] was selected for a no-bid contract worth as much as $568 million through 2011 for military support services in Iraq, the Army said.The Army announced its decision yesterday only hours after the Justice Department said it will pursue a lawsuit accusing the Houston-based company of taking kickbacks from two subcontractors on Iraq-related work. The Army also awarded the work to KBR over objections from members of Congress, who have pushed the Pentagon to seek bids for further logistics contracts.
Is Dick Cheney secretly still in government? Or, is Halliburton one of the few contractors who can get the job done? Either Halliburton is the son of Satan, or the left was wrong in demonizing them in the first place. They can’t have it both ways. Either they were right, and Halliburton is evil incarnate and The One – their one - is supporting such evil; or they were wrong in the first place and should just shut up.
Either way, they really should shut up.
Just when I thought Obama couldn’t get anymore hypocritical he had to go and do this! Seriously, what a joke (and it’s on us)!

Earlier today I sent both my Senators and my Congressman this email (adjusted for my Congressman):
Honorable Senator _________,
KBR contracts of the past have shown shoddy service to our troops in Iraq.
Now we have a no-bid contract awarded to KBR even though KBR is being sued by our Justice Dept.
Senator, this is the reason Americans do not trust decision-makers in Washington.
Please do all you can with all you have to stop this newly-announced KBR contract……no matter whose back it scratches.

ugh! i’m so disgusted! I am so confused… does this torture not end? My husband got deployed with this quackery 3 times! and he told me that he and his guys would be very frustrated that they would witness their HumV’s get totally replaced when all it needed was minor fixes… he couldn’t understand why chow hall was only open at the same time every day when this is how you get hit by “enemy forces”( this was a KBR tactic to save money!!! plus they lied about how many plates they served!) …but what enemy forces? he didn’t re-enlist after his 8 years because he became disgusted (as I am) with what he was witnessing. he couldn’t understand why contractor’s were getting paid a shit load of money for doing work that the boys could have done themselves for peanuts. I hate Obama now! I love my country but I hate the leaders! it’s time for a revolt!
