White House Press Secretary refused to answer a question asked by Wendell Goler, because Goler’s network, Fox News, interviewed former FEMA director Michael Brown. Can you imagine if a Bush press secretary refused to answer questions from journalists at any of the major news stations because of the things their guests said on air? Ha! No questions would ever have been answered. Goler was right to point out that something Brown said has nothing to do with his reporting.
Politico: As a Fox reporter brings up criticism likening the administration’s response to [the Gulf oil spill] to President Bush’s reaction to Hurricane Katrina, Gibbs launches into a tirade on Fox News for bringing former FEMA Director Michael Brown on the air to discuss the accusation that the Obama White House purposefully leaked the oil to walk back environmental and offshore drilling policies.
You can see the video of Michael Brown talking to Neil Cavuto here. I’m no big fan of “Brownie” but he was pretty much just making the point that perhaps, maybe, the Obama administration let things in the Gulf get out of control for political purposes. You know, never let a good crisis go to waste.
I like the take on it at Freedom’s Lighthouse:
Gibbs’ outrage is understandable. After all, the Left has never given any place to conspiracy theories, have they? Oh wait, who was that who said 9/11 was an inside job? Or, who attacked George W. Bush for blowing up the levies in New Orleans during Katrina? Or……
Heh.

Gbbs is a punk

Wendell is a black man so Gibbs is an obvious flaming racist bully. Wendell didn’t deserve this and Gibby looked incredibly unprofessional. It’s amazing that the other LMSM outlets remain so tightly wrapped knowing they can’t step out of line.

Robert Gibbs reflects the thin-skinned, cry baby bully the the White House personnel at large embrace. His behavior appalls me on a regular basis.
