Has anyone seen video of President Obama standing in the rain with fishermen a month ago, contemplating whose arses to kick? To be sure, he’s been quite busy since the oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico and the oil started gushing. Let’s take a look at the numbers.
2 – California fundraisers for Barbara Boxer.
5 – sports teams hosted, including the New York Yankees.
6 – rounds of golf.
6 – receptions or parties, including the White House State Dinner honoring Mexican President Calderon.
6 – political/campaign events, including Buffalo wings in Buffalo and rhubarb pie in Iowa.
2 – vacations.
3 – (at least) meetings, interviews or parties with celebrities, including Bono and Jay Leno.
In the first 41 days he found time for all of that, but only two photo-ops in Louisiana and one major speech addressing the Gulf disaster.
I’m glad to see someone’s been having a good old time. It sure as heck isn’t the people living in the Gulf states.
Update: This video ends at day 41. He’s had a few parties since then. Just the other night he hung out with Kelly Clarkson, George Lopez and Dick Van Dyke, to name just a few. He’s not the only one in the White House partying, either. Joe Biden and Rahm Emanuel had a nice little squirt gun fight while other White House staffers played beer pong.
Update: Another Black Conservative has more photos from Obama’s State Dinner. Posh doesn’t begin to describe the event.
Update 2: Left Coast Rebel reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to get to but just haven’t had the time. President Obama has yet to meet with or speak to the CEO of BP. Mr. Spinmeister says he doesn’t want to waste his time listening to someone telling him what he wants to hear. LCR has the video and plenty of reaction, including Sarah Palin’s – which is classic Palin. I have to hand it to Obama, he never ceases to amaze when it comes to hypocrisy.
