Glenn Beck Video Serious Discussion of Big Brother and What Comes Next

July 23, 2010

In this video Glenn Beck points out that all of our financial troubles stem from the house crises, as orchestrated by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Reminder: Senator Chris Dodd engineered the fatal financial reform bill. The entire video is good, but at about 8 minutes-in, it gets really serious. Between 8 min and 12 minutes is a must see. Beck is asking what we are all asking…or if you are not asking these questions, you should be. At 11 minutes in, you begin to see your future.

If you haven’t seen the video, I hope you watch. It’s important, BUT the video is not working here, so I hope you will view it at this link.

I watched it live, M and you’re right, it‘s serious, the lefties that you talk to will downplay this but it goes to the core of liberty. If we don’t have the patriots in elected office that will REVERSE this and Health Care they are not true to freedom. REVERSAL, not REVISONIST! It’s important.

@michigan, when he asked why we aren’t out on the streets, or something similiar, I asked the same question every time I hear it from anyone: what are we going to do. Yes, we’re furious, we care deeply, but just like with healthcare, we couldn’t do anything.

When Congress pays-off each other, our liberty is already compromised – maybe already destroyed and we don’t even know it.

If we do not make a meaningful and significant difference in November, I don’t know what will happen to conservatives. I don’t know how we’ll live with it.

The reason people do nothing is that people are on automatic pilot and do not think about anything until they HAVE to think about it. Even then, it is an iffy proposition. Ever try to explain something you know really well to someone who is totally unprepared ? Heck, I remember being scared of Ronald Reagan and it took years to see that the world did not end, and things actually got better. And I will tell you why – my folks grew up in the Great Depression, and really did not trust Republicans.
It is easy to say that the Depression would have been over sooner if the Govt had done nothing. OK, we could end a lot of problems by getting rid of 1/3 of the population. The Jacobins tried that and things did not improve much.
Self Government has always been a difficult road – and now we have tens of millions who never got assimilated, not to mention those who simply could not care less, never mind the Journo-Lists who want to turn america into europe, who want to ‘call him a racist’ and send anyone who says ‘real american’ to Gitmo.
I will say that I am uncomfortable with Beck as an ‘organizer’ – just report the stuff and let us worry about the organizing.

@physicsnut: I don’t disagree with you at all, but I do think conservatives are in a quandry. We are prepared, and we know and understand things, yet our only option is the voting booth.

That “only” option is designed to be the best option, but increasingly, we see it may not be.

As we sit by and watch policy after policy put in place that may not be able to be dismantled, it creates some panic. There’s also doubt that the polling place will be protected. What if it is not?

I think Beck offers great information. I think his 912 group is great. I’m not a member of one their purpose is admirable. I do read my cities 912 website and they never mention him except for the August 28th event.

I think he has opened the eyes of what the Constitution means to this country. He has people studying and learning. I like it when he has authors on. I learn about books I wouldn’t know about.

Having said that, his histronics are a bit much. I tune out often and then look for pertinent video clips on a given subject.

My mother was a Democrat and my Dad was a Republican. We had zero political talk around my house. I’ve always been a conservative. It was where I naturally fit. In fact, I met my hubby at a Young Republican event.

@Maggie – I tape Beck every day and he does a great job exposing this crowd. I almost fell over when I saw David Barton on his program, and again when he had M. Stanton Evans (The Theme is Freedom) on his show. Histrionics aside, Beck has done more for america on TV than anyone I can remember. I think Mark Levin does that on radio – i download all 5 mp3s from his website every saturday morning. BOOK-TV had Chris Horner going over the main points of his book exposing the GreenJobs fraud. He delivered a talk at Eagle Forum. Beck ought to have him on the show. In fact he ought to have Phyllis Schlafly on the program ! That ought to drive the left wingers absolutely crazy.
I think there are a lot more options than the voting booth. Phyllis Schlafly showed how to do this. I have no clue how she gets all that energy. I have been getting her newsletter for about 20 years. She is very effective.
You see – we know all about ‘community organizing’ – but we call it Self Government. The Left is just a bunch of amateurs selling snake oil and pretending. They pretend there are communities when there is no community. They are more into manipulating ‘the masses’ or the proletariat. They just read up on psychology and sociology so they can be a step ahead of the public. They are a bunch of double minded control freaks pretending to be Democrats so they can take over the USA to destroy it.
my gripe about Beck doing organizing stems from back in the days when Barry Farber ran for Mayor. Some people are just more effective on the radio, educating people, but instead he got 2 percent of the vote. So it turned out to be a big and ineffective and very costly distraction.
