The New Zeal blog is something you should check out on a regular basis. The research done by Trevor Loudon is quite extensive, and often times too in-depth to even excerpt. His latest post is no exception. Howard Zinn, may he rest in peace, was a prominent historian whose writings were, and are, required reading for many young Americans. What a shame that such a man has been allowed to shape the minds of so many young Americans. No wonder we find ourselves in this place in the history of our republic.
Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist Party USA member who mentored the young Barack Obama, was also the “security index”.
The files confirm Zinn’s membership in the party from 1948-1953 and one says he was “believed to be a CP member as of October, 1956.” However, he denied membership in the party when interviewed by the FBI in 1953 and 1954 and claimed to be just a “liberal” or “leftist.” He did admit involvement in several CPUSA front organizations, the documents say…
n 1961, it says, Zinn “attempted to recruit students to attend 8th World Youth Festival [a communist-front gathering] and was described as pro-Castro in 1962. He publicly protested United States demand for withdrawal of Soviet missiles from Cuba.”
After WW2 service and an education on the GI Bill, Zinn taught at the all female, all black Spelman College in Atlanta.
According to one of his pupils, far left author Alice Walker, Zinn shocked an audience from a local white college by declaring “Well, I stand to the left of Mao Zedong.” – this at the height of the communist takeover of China.
Forced to leave Spelman because of his radicalism, Zinn went to teach at Boston University from 1964 to 1988.

I’m not certain of the appropriate mechanism to an end, but until we wrest the educational system from the likes of Zinn we will fight an endless and futile battle of home grown communist followers. The communists have created the ultimate Trojan horse factories cloaked as institutions of higher learning, insulated from all scrutiny. Most are funded in part by taxpayer dollars, statist faculty members tenured in positions acting as the gatekeepers, bestowing diplomas and doctorates, applicants never to pass unless ideological symmetry is acknowledged. This is what they turn loose on the populous as an infection; to spread and wreak havoc on the body we call the Constitution. It must be stopped for freedom to survive.

That is exactly what it is – a trojan horse tactic. There actually is a “culture war” waged in every institution of any significance. That is the way commies have been doing things since the Russian Revolution. Its about time Americans wake up.

It was “about time” a long time ago. Now it is too late. This helps to explain why Joe McCarthy has been demonized ans vilified then and still now.
