Rachel Maddow had some snark for Fox and their reporting of the Shirley Sherrod story. She made some odd statements, including saying the ACORN story [remember the pimp and prostitute] was “fake,” and she wrapped it up with “Fox does what Fox does” to which O’Reilly answered “which is kick your network’s butt every single day. Observations from a conservative in a blue state. With a little help from my friends!
I’m not a big fan of Bill O, however he gives Obama for more passes than Rachel ever did (or will) of Bush. Bill will at least bring on opposing voices and be relatively civil….even if he throws hardballs he thanks the guest for having the stones to come on his show.
Maddow on the other hand is a leftist hack. She acts like she’s a fair person who objectively looks at things….in a manner common to those on the left that is.
I don’t care who are what she does behind closed doors, but IMO, her livestyle influences how she sees the world.

@ Sam Adams, I have been outraged at O’Reilly for a number of months now. For a couple of months now, the conservative guests really stepped up their game on his program – people like Laura Ingraham (especially Laura), Dennis Miller and one memorable chat with Newt Gingrich. They have pointed out how very wrong he is and laboriously explained socialism to him.
Another commenter here at The Lonely Conservative, ChicagoRay, pointed out to me that Bill has done a 360, and he now is “clued in.” Whether Bill believes it or not, I think he realizes that everyone else believes it. Or maybe he gave up on Obama coming back on his program and decided to tell it like it is. I don’t know.
Anyway for about 2 weeks I’ve noticed a difference.
Yes, Maddow has a schtick – that very reasonable and fair persona that is not. She definitely is a leftist hack.

Maddow will at least admit she views the world through the lens of a liberal. But not Bill O – “the spin stops here” …”fair and balanced”…….What a load of crap! Fox News was so happy to run with that story of Shirley Sherrod, before doing the least bit of research…
You can’t get your news from commentators and often not from anchors either…

About the tapes being deceptively edited. It is not enough to say it. Someone has to prove it. The tapes were long and had to be edited. Someone has to truthfully point to what is untruthful.
Maddow’s investigation shrewdly points to whether or not an ACORN worker called the police AFTER O’Keefe and Giles left? Oh my, that’s shocking. Wonder when James and Hannah learned of that, and wonder who confirmed it. The employee was supposedly fired.
