This probably isn’t news to any of you, but since the left recently went nuts because Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp donated a million dollars to the Republican Governors Association, I thought it was worth mentioning.
Washington Examiner: Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008, according to an analysis by The Examiner of data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.
The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880.
By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863. The average Republican contribution was $744.
Why don’t they just get it over with and ban any and all contributions to Republicans, conservatives and libertarians? That’s the only way they’d be happy.

Here is my idea of Campaign Finance Reform : Nobody should be allowed to give ANY money to Politicians. It just encourages them.
Look. IF we can finance studies of weird birds with tax dollars, why not finance a study of these idiots. We might find something useful or interesting.

Giving money to Democrats: Good
Don’t want to to give you money to Democrats? Too bad they get it from you anyway. It’s called taxes.
How they get it from you makes no difference what they do with it remains the same: Take care of their special interest driven agenda.

The difference between the donations illustrated in this post is that the donations made to (D)s and (R)s from ABC / NBC / CBS were made by individual employees of those networks .
I’m sure if you looked at FoxNews donations by individual employees you would see $numbers comparable to the ABC / NBC / CBS.
But that not the comparison being made…..
The donation made to the Republican Governors Association was made by News Corp itself… not by its employees.
That is a BIG BIG Difference.
