Companies are using cancer causing chemcials to leach natural gas from the earth without impunity. The issue is horrendous, it is to the point that people can actually click a lighter and the water coming out of their faucet catches on fire. Don’t trust me to say this, look it up. I think you need to do a little more research. Bill Clinton was actually the president who signed into law the ability for banks to do subprime lending. Not that I’m saying ANY of the presidents since FDR don’t share some blame for the eventual economic meltdown in the last 3 years but one of the major issues of the economic crisis is subprime lending, and the one you seem to be referring to…that Clinton signed into law with the Community Reinvestment Act of 1999.

I’m sick of people touting Fox News ratings first off Fox News dominates cable news not all news networks. Over half of Fox news ratings are P1 viewers, P1 viewers are people that watch Fox News from when they get up in the morning to when they go to bed at night, basically old people shaking their fists and yelling at the TV.
For all the people that think that Fox News speaks for most Americans well lets do some simple math if you add the viewers of the three major networks ABC, NBC and CBS nightly news programs its around 8 million then if you add the cables news networks leaving out Fox News you get around 3 million
8 + 3 = 11 Million. So on any given day there are 11 million people getting there news from everywhere but Fox News. That’s why their mainstream and Fox is alternate news.

If anyone really watched the Glen Beck Restore Honor assembly this past week you would’ve seen Republicans- Conservatives and even some very fair minded Democrats who really care about this country- black, white, red, yellow. We are not a people of hate. WE are the people who want us united as a country. We love our country and we love God. Is is so bad to believe that a man should earn their living and take pride in a hard day’s work? Sure there are those who truly are unable to do so, but there are many who “milk the system”. Why is it that none of the other news stations the day of the Restore Honor assembly failed to mention that Martin Luther King’s niece, Aletha King, was present and an honorary speaker! She stated that this is what her uncle would’ve wanted to see and that was his “dream”! But yet the other stations played up Al Sharpton running around with fanaticals trying to claim that the Glen Beck Restore Honor assembly was all about dividing!!! Beck was the only one that displayed visual images of all of us working together. His honorary guests included many African American’s speakers and musicians! Liberals only want to keep this lie going that Republicans/Conservatives are hurting the “black man”- that they do not care about equal rights etc. and this is because people like Al Sharpton are in the politician’s pockets to opress his own “kind” for his selfish gain. Keep the people needy and uneducated and you rule- isn’t that the way the socialists/communist’s do it???!!! Thank you. Well said. Our household has been preparing & sacrificing to get our finances in order. Today I am wearing a 5 year old outfit. Yesterday my clothes were 15 yrs old. I would love a bunch of new clothes, but, we are down to a house payment and we are gnawing away at that. The new car that I got last year is a ’98 Sebring, but we paid cash. It’s sad that we have to look to celebs who live in exaggerated fantasy worlds for our news on politics. Celebs know nothing or have forgotten what it is like to be an average american trying to earn a living in this putrid economy. Who cares what Cusak has to say.

I watch all news channels to get different perspectives but always seem to stick with FOX for real news, as other stations seem to conveniently leave out or miss breaking stories that put the democrats in a bad light, yet delight in hammering the republicans. Just try watching Obermann, Matthews, or Maddow for a complete show and tell me if they are honest, fair, and show both sides. I dare anyone to try to make it through an episode of these clowns without hearing them mention FOX News or O’reilly or Limbaugh, etc. Their shows revolve around FOX news and trying to put Fox in a bad light. How is that real news. And when they do actually talk about a real topic, it is completely one-sided unlike FOX who brings in an opposing commentator to debate the subject. How about we stop “finding” this country and start healing with love, acceptance, tolerance, freedom and forgiveness for all. When Clinton left office, the budget was balanced and we were paying down the national debt, much of which came from the Reagan & Bush the first administrations. Now, our great grandchildren get to pay for W’s folly. He will go down in history as one of the worst presidents. However, he is in good company. Why would someone with John Cusack’s talent and intelligence make such an ugly comment? He certainly has a right to voice his opinion.
