Chris Christie on Pension Funding: You’ll Thank Me For This Thing Called Math

September 15, 2010

Chris Christie has proposed some dramatic reforms to New Jersey’s public employee pension and health plans. He said that they may hate him now, but in 10 years or so they’ll be thanking him for “this thing called math” for saving their pension system.

In related news, New Jersey public employees are lining up in droves to apply for retirement. Way to look out for number one. Screw the kids!

Via the Right Sphere.

Update: This is the video I was looking for when I wrote this post. Christie was on Neil Cavuto’s show this afternoon and repeated the message. They discussed the cuts Christie is trying to pass.

This kind of thinking is needed in ALL states. Education is a fat cat machine that is laden with taxpayer money and needs trimming badly! New Jersey should be thankful that they EVEN HAVE a pension at all.
