Mr. LC and I are hanging out with our friends from out of town. The topic of conversation turned to politics, and my friend said she just doesn’t think that Barack Obama and his wife have any clue about what it means to be the leader of the free world.
I don’t know, maybe they understand, and just don’t care. I don’t think they like the idea of America leading the free world. They’re more interested in social justice, while they take one luxurious vacation after another and tell reporters to leave them alone. American exceptionalism is just so passe to them.
Totally unrelated: I can’t wait until the day when I have my own “ilk”. Dan Riehl must have hit the big time to have an ilk. By the way, I’m one of his ilk.
Other unrelated news: We’re starting to plan our CPAC 2011 trip. I can’t wait. If you’ve never been, you should go. Just moments after talking about our trip to CPAC, I received an e-mail that my buddies at Jumping in Pools want to make the trip to CPAC. They want you to hit their tip jar. I say hit my tip jar. (See the little button over there on the side.) We’ve decided to fly because the drive is long.
Oh, and did I mention that you should go to CPAC 2011? If so, you can meet me! No lonely conservatives there!
I post this at every opportunity because it so clearly demonstrates the thinking of the Progressive movement. The yelling and screaming that the right has done at LIBERALS the last 25 years really hasnt been about liberals.
Its been about progressives. Theres a huge difference between the two.
Make no mistake the Progressives are in charge of the Democratic party now and they must purge themselves of these avowed Socialists/Communists wannabes.

And if that is not enough to engender disengagement between PATRIOTIC LIBERALS and radical government intruding Progressives:
“On this July 4, we would do well to renounce nationalism and all its symbols: its flags, its pledges of allegiance, its anthems, its insistence in song that God must single out America to be blesse[d],” 4th of July Post by the Progressive Magazine.
America is not exceptional in the eyes of Progressives. Obama is a progressive. Do the math.

Very nice post to the comments of LC but I don’t care what they call themselves. All I know is if you say you are either a “progressive” or a “liberal” it means the same thing today. Maybe one day it did not but I can’t concern myself with that anymore.
I see things in black and white. The military taught me the enemy must be defeated and the “Progressive/Liberal” scum are the enemy. Sorry for being so blunt especially right after church but they are the enemy to the well being of the citizens of this great Country.

Just a thought from the trenches, IMHO this is a political blog making your tips a form of political donation, you don’t have to agree for my thought to carry, and I am not trying to poke you in the eye.
What difference is there in a politician using contributions to travel sumptuously on peoples contributions, and your using tips for the same purposes? Other than magnitude?

He is the leader of the free world, at least in unemployment, as I just saw on TV. Ours is the highest in the free world. Another Obama accomplishment. How will we ever thank him?
