Dan Maffei – Fundraising Hypocrite

Rep. Dan Maffei (D-NY) is such a hypocrite. He co-sponsored a bill with Rep. John Larson (D-CT) to limit campaign contributions to $100 per individual and have public financing of campaigns. He probably knows the bill will never go anywhere, but he can tell the voters that he supports campaign finance reform.

The Post Standard reported (in the print edition – nothing available online) that the bill was approved by the House committee on Thursday, and Tuesday night Larson will appear with Dan Maffei at a fund raising reception sponsored by Clear Channel PAC. Tickets to the event range from $500 to $2500. He said he will continue raking in money from special interest groups and PACs as long as the law remains unchanged. Hypocrisy – thy name is Dan Maffei!

Maffei must go. He is just a junior version of Rangel, Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Maxine Waters.
