Minister Calls Off Koran Burning – Tied to Trump’s Offer to Buy GZ Mosque? – Updated x 2

I haven’t weighed in on the Koran burning controversy because everyone else and their brother has already thrown in their two cents. What more could I add? Do they have the right to do it? Yep. Should they do it? That’s another question that’s now moot.

AP: The leader of a small Florida church that espouses anti-Islam philosophy says he is canceling plans to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11.

Pastor Terry Jones said Thursday that he decided to cancel his protest because the leader of a planned Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its controversial location. The agreement couldn’t be immediately confirmed.

Could this have anything to do with Trump’s offer to buy the GZ mosque building?

Politico: It’s “not because I think the location is spectacular (it is not) but because it will end a very serious, inflammatory and highly divisive situation that is destined, in my opinion, to only get worse.”

Trump says part of the deal would be building a mosque no fewer than five blocks away from ground zero.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

I’ve seen that the GZ mosque imam denies they will be moving the mosque.

Update: The Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS, which Maggie calls vile, says if the Florida church doesn’t burn the Koran, they will. Nice, way to keep it going.

Speaking of keeping things going, it doesn’t look like Imam Rauf has any intention of moving the Cordoba House – the mosque to be built in a location so close to Ground Zero that one of the planes that hit the Twin Towers sent a wheel into the building there. But he did issue a threat, saying if the GZ mosque is moved there will be violence. How’s that for building bridges of tolerance. The Pirate’s Cove has the story, Gateway Pundit has video.

Update 2: There’s been a lot swirling around on this story. I’ve heard that the church in Florida called it off because they were told the church would be charged for extra security. The church was visited by the FBI. On and on it goes.

Final thought on the matter (hopefully) – if the media and the politicians didn’t make such a big thing about this, we wouldn’t have to be worried about our troops, or threats of retaliation. The media threw fuel on the fire and then stoked the flames. Ratings are all they care about. It’s disgusting.

So much for building bridges. This whole mess with the mosque is creating deeper lines of division in this country. Perhaps that was the plan the whole time. Maybe the Imam wants the Muslim world how intolerant America is and he knew the reaction he would get by building the mosque at the GZ site. I don’t know.

It’s certainly a possibility that they decided to build the Cordoba House in the shadows of Ground Zero in the hopes of generating anti-Muslim sentiment. As if they didn’t know.

As A Korean Vet it grieves me to think of all those kids who died on the numbered hills of Korea fighting for libertiy, freedom and the USA. When are we going to get sick and tired of people telling us they don’t like us or don’t like what we are doing.

Are guys are being killed by Muslims. The plane at the twin towers was driven by Muslims.

I believe its time for US to run the USA. Pull the Americans out of those countries and let them riot and behead each other, or stone one another.

Or, send a whole lot more troops and get it straigtened out now.

Neville Chamberlain and appeasement never worked. And why should we feel guilty. No other nation has done more for Islam than the USA

      Thanks for your service, Larry.

What gets me is that the GZ Imam started all of this. As if he didn’t know building that Islamic center right there next to Ground Zero wouldn’t cause an uproar. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Yeah, nice work by Larry the Übermensch on wiping out all those insolent subhuman Gooks/Slopes/Slants/Chiggers/Chinkos/Ragheads or whomsoever worldwide consistently fails to understand that bowing to U$-Imperial Diktat is in their own best interest, keep up the progress, only another several billion to get through, but while no doubt the ‘libertiy’ to bomb foreigners on a whim is the sweet nectar your psychopathy craves, what about the fight for literacy – when will you plant a flag on that hill?

“No other nation has done more for Islam than the USA” — I know some say ignorance is bliss, but this satire, right?

The FDA considers two products bioequivalent if the 90% CI of the relative mean Cmax, AUC(0-t) and AUC(0-∞) of the test (e.g. generic formulation) to reference (e.g. innovator brand formulation) should be within 80.00% to 125.00% in the fasting state. Although there are a few exceptions, generally a bioequivalent comparison of Test to Reference formulations also requires administration after an appropriate meal at a specified time before taking the drug, a so-called “fed” or “food-effect” study. A food-effect study requires the same statistical evaluation as the fasting study, described above.

Stick with the “Brand” product, UNF.

Besides the fact that UNF is apparently unable to make an intelligent, reasoned argument about whatever it is s/he’s trying to say up there, I notice derogatory language meant to describe Asian peoples that is certainly never used by regular readers of — or posters to — this blog. Although our opinions are equally as impassioned, thankfully we can express that without resorting to using such language.

Just who is so hateful and intolerant up there? Round to UNF in my opinion.
UNF liberals of his/her ilk should invest in a little of that literacy s/he’s so concerned with…and learn how to clearly and intelligently communicate a difference of opinion since people like Larry have risked everything to ensure his/her right to express it. It’s the least you can do, UNF, in return for the hard won blessings you have in this country.

Thank you, Larry, for your service and sacrifice despite the over-educated and under-lived opinions from people like UNF.

    OK, Mr Lie-brute-y, tolerate this,

as your tiny mind can’t process opprobrium, here’s the cleartext translation — your little darling Larry, whose ancient crinkled sphincter hypocrites like you for your own ugly reasons feel so obligated to ceaseless tongue-clean and venerate, never risked, sacrificed or serviced a damned thing in exchange for my rights.

You see, Larry wouldn’t recognize or defend my right even if smacked upside his ignorant head with it — his maroon-white-and-blue-striped ass was only shipped to Korea after being successfully brainwashed to adore the McCarthyite mass hysterical sport of bombing yellow ‘commie’ devils to dust in their lairs for the wages he was too dumb to earn through working a decent job.

Nor would I expect or ask such an excreable scum of the earth to do so, as I am resolved to self-defence of my own rights. So, far from thanking the likes of Larry for being the willing tool of his imperialist warcriminal masters, I truly regret that he survived his spell as a military tourist at all. I’d much prefer that he and all his semper faeces buddies had been 100% extirpated by those they went to rob and oppress. But hope springs eternal, so if he could in a rush of remorse self-sacrifice himself by a shot through the head anytime now, it would be a belated but worthy contribution to the common good.

[Aim carefully to hit that atrophied walnut you claim as a brain, Larry, I don't like to watch the wounded suffer!]

But this is really not about Larry, as distasteful as that amoral poor cretin is. It’s about the more culpable class of people who craftily clone, control and abuse his type for their continuing World Wars Tour of the planet, and the obviously detrimental effect this has on the quality and prospect of life for the vast majority of everyone.

Put simply, having such a corrupt class of deranged and greedy people in power in U$A is a liability humanity can no longer afford.

So you guessed wrong, I am not a ‘librul’ but a revolutionary whose task is to shift the warmongers’ claws from the controls in a manner minimally damaging to the inhabitants of this planet.

You, on the other hand, seem to be a ‘bought-in’ monkey with a trained reflex to ‘talk-up’ the morally, fiscally and intellectually bankrupt edifice of U$-ImperioCapitalism swiftly crumbling about your masters’ ears.

But here’s the news, kiddo, gravity beats verbiage, so give it up and deal with reality. That requires honesty, so try it for a flying start.

    Sincerely, UNF
