Video: George Bush Puts it Right Over the Plate at World Series

October 31, 2010
By 14 comments

Former President George W. Bush threw out the first pitch at Game 4 of the World series. He was accompanied by his father, George HW Bush, while former First Ladies Laura and Barbara watched from the stands. Bush threw a perfect pitch – right over the plate. He made it look so easy. The crowd seemed to enjoy it.

Just linked you. Wasn’t that great, and kind of sad to see 41 so frail. Barbara looked as hearty as ever. G.W. looked like he does this every day.

I know, the first thing I thought was how frail the elder Bush looked. But other than that, I still thought he looked pretty good.

    Karen

Without the Yankees or Phillies being involved, I really don’t have a dog in this fight,

I tuned in just to see George.

I for one sure as heck miss him.

We have the same problem here in our household. No love for either team. I just didn’t want to see San Fran win – they gave us Pelosi.

Thanks, LC, for posting that. As you know, I have given up cable television (in order to–gasp!–pay my bills without whining for help). So I miss things like this.

really appreciate it. That’s MY President (large p), and I miss him!!!!!

If nothing else GWB should have a once a year gig throwing out the first pitch somewhere. The pathetically limp wristed D’s could hire him!

Actually he didn’t throw it “right over the plate”. Even with the camera angle the way it was, it wasn’t over the plate. It was high and up. It probably would had been under the chin on a right handed batter.

Still much better than most people do when throwing out the first pitch. Better than Obama for sure. Nolan Ryan’s pitch wasn’t as good as that one was.
