Just When I Was About to Praise Kristi Noem

This is too bad. I haven’t written about Congresswoman-elect Kristi Noem – I was kind of busy following another conservative woman who beat an incumbent Democrat. Here’s video of Noem sounding all conservative, just like we’ve been waiting for.

But then I found at Instapundit, that Kristi Noem is only conservative when it suits her.

This is depressing. Kristi Noem hasn’t even taken office yet, and she’s already defending home-grown pork as “stimulus”:

Newly Elected Congresswoman Kristi Noem of South Dakota says that ethanol subsidies are important to her state and the nation.

Speaking on the Scott Hennen Show Noem says “Ethanol has been very good to South Dakota.” She said that this is not the time to repeal the subsidy “when you look at taking away that subsidy it is the wrong decision.”

She says that supporting the ethanol industry with subsidy promotes investment and continued hiring “In the long run it will get the economy back on track faster.”

….

I’m glad I didn’t waste my time blogging about this woman.

Republicans have already agreed to a permanent unemployment welfare system in order to extend the tax cuts for just two years. They also agreed to bring back the death tax, albeit at a lower rate. Are we now going to agree to more corn welfare for special interest groups? Where is this deal anyway? What else is hidden in this compromise? Could Senator Kyl provide us with a hard copy?….quoted from Red State.

This pretty much sums it up and Im not really a huge RedState fan.

This sort of sums up my angst at the current tax CUTS extensions. They are essentially selling their soul for the tax cuts to remain in place for JUST TWO MORE YEARS………WHILE AGREEING….to massive new spending and piling on more debt.

I am opposed to this and hope the Democrats shoot it down for their own reasons because its very fuking obvious that even the GOP didnt get the message sent to them by the voters in November.

Think 2010 was a wake up call? Wait till 2012.

These people think that they were elected to bring home the pork. Hopefully in 2012 we will go on a pork free diet. If 2012 doesn’t bring an end to the wasteful spending, I will be with the rest of the folks who have had it. There are millions of like minded people like me, who if provoked, will revolt. It’s time for one. We need one. These douche nozzles in Washington have no integrity or honor. When the violence begins in earnest, watch the powerful cower like the little “bitches” they are.

I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that. IMHO, at this point with the people we have in power, it would just be another crisis for them to seize upon to eliminate even more liberty. The voting cycle has undeniably and dramatically changed the political landscape and we are just in a transitional time of lame duck. I would urge patience and continued communication of displeasures to elected officials. Let the left own all the violence. We still have our vote and it still counts and until that is taken from us, steadfast pressure demanding conservative policies and ideology will prevail. I completely understand your frustration but don’t get too upset yet, WKRP, January is right around the corner.

I too am appalled that the TP message didn’t seem to have gotten through to the new members of Congress. Are these people dumb or just liars? If it, the tax/pork bill, does fail the R’s should come back with their own where everyone earning $1,000,000 or less gets a tax break and there will be no unemployment extensions or any added pork to this tax bill. Two things before anyone thinks I am selling out to the Demorats. 1. Rush said Friday that the average time an unemployed person who has LOST his/her unemployment benefit takes to get a job is 31 days! Sure, there are some other cases that will show extreme hardships but not the average. 2. The people that make 1 million bucks or more are not stupid and will quickly find ways to NOT pay the increase in their taxes. The estate tax is a good one for the R’s to debate and if the D’s are stupid enough to bring it to the public for discussion then they will lose big time.
Right now the best thing that can happen to our nation is for this bill to die.

Bush was right about one thing – we’ve got to end our addiction to foreign oil…and yes that means more ethanol and biodiesel, but it also means more domestic drilling. Let’s don’t bash ethanol just because we are tired of government waste and spending, lest we forget how much we spend on oil, both foreign AND domestic. There are much bigger fish to fry! Surely you don’t think Algore is telling the truth now do you? Bush was right – not Algore.

Doesn’t she know that tacos cost more since ethanol became a trend, and even Al Gore is off of ethanols now?

Another FAKE conservative. Unlike the left, we don’t merely defend people just because of their party. She can go in 2012 along with the rest of DemocRATS, RepublicRATS, and FAKE conservatives.

On the other hand, the good news is that Nikki Haley is tougher than all the establishment RINO’s combined…
