Terrorist Bill Ayers isn’t happy with President Obama’s war kinetic military action in Libya. So he’s making noise. At a meeting of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) on March 24, 2011, Ayers admitted that he wrote Dreams from My Father. He also called Obama’s second book, Audacity of Hope, a “political hack book.” This isn’t the first time Ayers has admitted he wrote the book.
There’s more at American Thinker. (Via CA Political News)
Memeorandum now has a thread and linked.
Update: As noted above, this isn’t the first time Ayers has claimed authorship of Dreams, only to turn around and make the tongue-in-cheek comment about the royalties. See the “related links” below for more.
Update 2: Be sure to check out Nice Deb’s post on the topic which goes further in depth.

And the LMSM won’t ask one question of Dear Leader concerning this issue.

You think that might be because the MSM understands the difference between a punchline and a confession, unlike some?
There’s also videotape of GW Bush searching for Iraq WMDs under the podium at the WH Correspondents Dinner. For some bizarre reason that too drew laughs from everyone present. Now I don’t know if there was 1 person somewhere who took that as a serious admission that the WMD search had moved to the ballrooms of Washington, but we don’t need to know that to know that they would be a moron.

If you think that Ayers was trying to be funny, you’re obviously one that confuses The Daily Show or MSNBC with journalism. Are you blogging for Media Matters?

I don’t think you understand. They already KNOW that he didn’t write either of “His” books and they do not care! They created this fake president and they are never going to admit that he is the dumbest and most unqualified man in history to hold the office. No amount of expose will hurt this empty suit with the left and blacks. There is a great cartoon running around the Internet where a man and a woman debate Obama and Bush. No matter what they guy says to her with facts and figures she always responds that Obama is awesome or cool. When the guy points out all the things that Bush did correctly that BHO didn’t do or did wrong she will respond with “Bush lied. People died”. Even though it’s a cartoon it is the real world that it is mimicking. I have two sisters, one a PhD. and the other a multi-millionaire, both liberal and no matter what I point out to them they are almost as bad as the blond in the cartoon. They either ignore what I say or say that Bush started all the bad things that Obama has to deal with. I read Jack Cashill’s book “Deconstructing Obama” and found it very credible and full of honest opinions and research. The left will sneer at it and make fun of it the way they do anything they fear, like Palin.

The Democrats have never dealt well with facts. I would say that a good show may be the Presidential debates, but since only liberal moderators put on those shows, even that may not show clearly your truthful remarks about his capabilities.

Actually, I think George W Bush was the stupidest and least qualified president. Of course, Ronald Reagan wasn’t exactly the brightest bulb on the tree, but with his alzheimers, who could tell.
Richard Nixon, now he was a smart one. Evil and venal both, but very smart.
Thank goodness you wingnuts aren’t very smart.

And yes, we fear Sarah Palin. Please Brer Wingnut, don’t nominate Sister Sarah or Sister Michelle!

I knew Ayers back in the day in Ann Arbor when he was dating the beautiful Diana Oughton and I knew her too. [I worked with SDS on a few projects and was landlord for Columbia U. rad Mark Rudd for a few days during an SDS national meeting. Somehow afterwards, I managed to grow up.]
Ayers is not as smart as he thinks, because he gave Diana hand-written instructions on how to assemble the bomb she was making in a townhouse in Greenwich Village [down the street from where my aunt lived, as it happened] and Diana either misread the directions or Bill’s knowledge of bombmaking was as half-baked as his politics. The uniquely beautiful Diana was caught in the coils of this Mephistopheles and paid the price by being identified after they cleared the townhouse rubble from ONE fingertip which survived the blast enough to get a print from.
Meanwhile this moral leper waltzes through life laughing because a commie judge got him off a murder charge on a “technicality” during the dark years of the pre-Reagan sunrise. Now he is a helpmate of his treasonous buddy with the jug-eared crack-brained shallow POV that will hopefully make him a one-termer.
That a clown like revellate thinks that Ayers was participating in some sort of ironic subterfuge demonstrates that some people will never grow up.

I don’t know about any prior statements from Ayers, but that video above does sound like the admission is being made in jest.
I read Dreams from My Father, and the thing is, whether or not it was ghost-written is sorta beside the point. The point for me is, this is Obama’s presentation of himself in what he thinks is the best possible light.
And people must have agreed.
Eeek! That’s the best possible light? The Obama described in that book is rather a pitiable character, who had a sad childhood. Who seems to lament the fact that he missed the worst of the civil rights battles. Who waxes eloquent about socialists and leftists in a way that reveals his own beliefs. Who spoke of his own brief excursion into the private sector as though he were a spy in enemy territory.
The meaning of those words are far more important than the author of them.
Cheers!

Don’t you think it is a rather self-defeating strategy to always be playing for applause from a small extremist wing at the far reaches of the political spectrum, while turning yourself into a laughingstock for everyone else?

The real self-defeating waste of time is being a troll among intelligent adults who discuss the perfidy and treason of loathsome ditchscum like yourself.
