President Obama will address the issue of his birth certificate at 9:45 AM. The White House has requested that Hawaii release the long form birth certificate, it can be seen here. I just have to wonder why they didn’t do this two years ago?
When any citizen born in Hawaii requests their birth certificate, they receive exactly what the President received. In fact, the document posted on the campaign website is what Hawaiians use to get a driver’s license from the state and the document recognized by the Federal Government and the courts for all legal purposes. At a time of great consequence for this country – when we should be debating how we win the future, reduce our deficit, deal with high gas prices, and bring stability to the Middle East, Washington, DC, was once again distracted by a fake issue. The President’s hope is that with this step, we can move on to debating the bigger issues that matter to the American people and the future of the country.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they were thinking about winning the future, reducing our deficit and bringing down gas prices? No doubt he’ll come out and give a lecture later this morning.

How bizarre. Donald was out there taking credit, then they cut to Obama. He called Donald a “carnival barker.” And as you predicted, he lectured about investing in this and that and solving our problems. Blah, blah, blah.

I’m no nutcase, but I don’t buy it. If an illegal alien can fake a perfect birth certificate, do I really think it can’t be done in D.C.? Why not do this yeeeeeaaaaarrrrssss ago?
All it took was a phone call from the White House authorizing its release? A document no other American has a problem releasing? Yet they spent years and a lot of money keeping it locked up nice and tight?
It is, and will remain, completely suspect.
