I knew it wouldn’t take long for the fear mongering Democrats to come out accusing Republicans of doing all kinds of nasty things to people because they want to cut the budget to 2008 levels. Right on cue, Nancy Pelosi served up this little doozy.
“In one of the bills before us, six million seniors are deprived of meals — homebound seniors are deprived of meals. People ask us to find our common ground, the middle ground. Is middle ground three million seniors not receiving meals? I don’t think so. We’ve got to take this conversation from a debate about numbers and dollar figures and finding middle ground there to the higher ground of national values…”
What on earth does living within our means have to do with national values? This woman is treacherous.

Nancy should live in a mostly conservative neighborhood. In mostly conservative neighborhoods, people do have those “national values”….they take meals to their neighbors, take turns looking in on them,taking them to the store and the doctor…and they do all of this without pay and without a gluttonous Federal government passing a law that says they must. Interestingly, liberals I know who could actually help would rather write a check–until they question why only THEY should write a check; unwilling to give actual time and assistance, since check writing is all they know, they decline that also unless “everyone is going to have skin in the game”. Sounds familiar.
She’s a very…tiresome woman. Liberals are a very tiresome organism.
