What did I tell you about birtherism? You can’t trust the scandals cooked up by team Clinton:
To start with, I am not, nor have I ever been a birther and for two reasons. First of all, the movement was started by the Clinton campaign. That alone should be sufficient. Second, I have a hard time believing that the two state officials that have attested to the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate are defrauding the nation. I know that many that will read this don’t share my optimism for reason number two and I don’t have any problem with that.
Thank the Lord Almighty, the President has finally released his long-form birth certificate. It turns out that he was born in Hawaii. But, I won’t pretend, as the media does, that there weren’t a large number of Obama family members who said otherwise. I’m talking about the birthers Michelle Obama and Obama’s Grandmother.
And the aftermath?
William Jacobson points out that this capitulation from Obama is likely to be more for damage control than the gotcha moment that birtherism was supposed to be. Many Americans believe that Obama is a foreigner to American ideals. The spread of birtherism furthered this perception. Now that the birther bell has been wrung, will it ever unring?
If Jacobson is correct, then it should be noted how paramount the Hillary Clinton campaign was in promoting birtherism. Obama may have defeated the Clintons in the primary through thug intimidation. But, behold the real power of a political dynasty that wields the weapon of disinformation like no other.
I bet the Clinton’s could get away with perjury and conspiracy if they wanted.

I doubt it was a scam, and I am no Clinton fan.
I beg someone to point out one thing on that document that should have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, years of time, and all of the deep questions about Obama if it’s legitimate.
Could have swatted that fly during the election process. Why expend all that time/money/energy if it was perfectly legitimate all along? I can’t shove it off as a Clinton conspiracy. I’m a rational thinker, can’t help it. If it was the real deal all along, there was absolutely no reason to tuck it away.
Fake. Like everything else he claims to be.

Woohoo! So Obama is American after all. Doesn’t change the fact that he has lost credibility with a large portion of America over his refusal to release it for so long. And of course now we have the Donald starting another side show demanding that Obama release his college transcripts. I was hoping the sideshow Donald would die down, but whatever it takes to get attention…

DISCLAIMER – I am not a birther
Sorry, the document released today by the White House appears to be a fraud lifted from the following legitimate birth certificates.

Before anyone rip me on this I encourage you to open up the .PDF in Adobe Illustrator.
What you will find is that the document has been created in layers/masks. This is done with photoshop. While there are several items of interest, the two smoking guns are these:
1) in the registration number at the top right, the number “1″ has been photoshopped in. My belief is the Nordyke birth cert was replicated and a new number needed to be assigned. the Nordyke number was erased and the number “1″ was replaced. This is PLAIN AS DAY WHEN OPENED IN ILLUSTRATOR.
2) if you note on the Nordyke birth certs in the jurisdiction section of the birth cert, the “X” is made into the words above it. These words are “no, give”. On the Obama cert, the “o, gi” have been photoshopped back in. In addition, the “X” in the yes box has been photoshopped in.
This ranks as a worse job than the famed Dan Rather botch job. This birth cert does not answer the questions….and now begs for the real truth.
Again, find a friend with Adobe Illustrator and you will see that something does not pass the smell test.

@ swifty – there’s just one problem. the certificate produced by the white house was recently certified original by the state of Hawaii. For it to be a photoshop, you’d have to be putting forth yet a new conspiracy.
Thus your reasoning would be Obama photoshoped, then a Hawaii official joined the conspiracy by certifying it.

Sam: If you look at those certificates from the Honolulu Advertiser, if they are genuine, you see that Obama was born one day before the twins, his certificate was recorded three days after theirs and has a file number three numbers higher than theirs.
Don’t most government agencies record things like this sequentially? Why would a birth certificate recorded earlier have a higher number? Not sure this document passes the smell test, either!
