We still don’t know what President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder knew about Operation Fast and Furious, or when they knew it. But it looks like the acting director of the ATF will be resigning in the next day or two over the reckless operation. CNN reported that Kenneth Melson’s resignation is expected any day now.
Kenneth Melson, acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, is expected to resign under pressure, perhaps in the next day or two, in the wake of the controversy over Operation Fast and Furious, two senior federal law enforcement sources said Monday.
In the operation, straw buyers were allowed to purchase illegally large numbers of weapons, some of which ended up in the hands of cartels in Mexico. …
President Obama and Eric Holder have denied prior knowledge of the operation, which resulted in the death of Border Agent Brian Terry and a Mexican attorney. Rep. Darryl Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has been investigating the matter. The administration has been less than forthcoming when it comes to providing information to the committee. So much for transparency.
Update: Now memeorandum has a thread and linked.
The Camp of the Saints linked – thanks!

This nut may lose his CURRENT job, but don’t expect him to be out of work. It is being said he has enough dirt on Holder to cause him problems, will shoot his mouth off if Holder doesn’t take care of him.
