Is President Obama incompetent, or was the economic and fiscal mess we find ourselves in planned? And really, it isn’t just him. It’s also the members of his party like former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Harry Reid who have given him an enormous amount of assistance.

Professor William Jacobson and The Anchoress both believe the chaos was planned.

But going back to the question of “competence.” I look at the headlines, and this is what I see:

Historic government spending; to the last nickel, ’til we’re broke. An administration determined not only to shut down access to our resources (and the job-creation that comes from drilling and refining) but actively depleting our reserves, leaving us vulnerable. A government flooding our farmlands in aprecarious manner, (guess who may be buying up the flooded land?) and involved in smuggling arms toward a tinderbox….

On October 31, 2008 I directed you to a long post by Jim Simpson on the Cloward and Piven strategy of manufactured crisis and Barack Obama. Apparently, not enough people read it, or believed it could happen here.

This election may well be the most important in our nation’s history. An Obama presidency could not come at a worse time. The world economy stands on the edge of an abyss. If enacted, Obama’s socialist class warfare economic policies will push it right over the edge and we could see the nightmare scenario outlined above come to fruition.

And now I’ll tell you why I think they have pulled out all the stops. From eye-popping, unprecedented bias in the media to biased opinion polls, from unprecedented levels of questionable donations, including illegal foreign money flowing into Obama’s campaign coffers, to astronomical levels of voter registration fraud, there has never been an election season like this. They are going for broke because they believe that this is the last time they will ever have to do it. With majorities in both houses of Congress and a leftist in the White House, they will finally own the store completely. They are hoping to never have to give it up again.

When Obama said, “We are the ones We have been waiting for,” he was talking about “we the communists.”

I can only hope and pray that it is not too late for our great country.

One thing I’m thinking is that the decline is coming a bit faster than they planned. They probably believed that the stimulus and TARP and all of the other bailouts would keep things afloat long enough for Obama to sail on to reelection victory. They were taken completely by surprise when the Tea Parties rose up in opposition to their agenda. (Why else would they have invested so much in vilifying normal American citizens?) They probably figured their job killing regulations would take longer to kill jobs. And we all know they wrote Obamacare so the worst of the law’s provisions won’t kick in until 2012.

So yes, I believe this was all planned, they just didn’t expect us to notice until after the 2012 election. Then again, anyone who believes socialism or communism are “isms” that will work in the United States is pretty incompetent. But I don’t know if they really care whether it works or not – they’ll be taken care of. Remember, socialism is for the rest of us, not the socialists.
