President Obama is really ramping up the class warfare. What a disgusting display. He came out and scolded Congress for not increasing the debt ceiling, and chided them for being away from Washington. He didn’t mention the plans he’s making for his next holiday at Martha’s Vineyard.
Where’s he been on the debt ceiling talks, you ask? Well, he’s been quite busy.
I’ve been here, I’ve been doing Afghanistan, bin Laden, and the Greek crisis.
Oh yes, he’s going against the advice of his generals and leaving the troops who will remain in Afghanistan in more danger. How long ago was bin Laden killed? You’d think he swooped in there himself and took him out. And the Greek crisis? Really? How much time could he have been spending on that, other than emulating the Greeks?
National Journal summed up his little rant nicely.
If President Obama’s news conference accomplished anything on Wednesday afternoon, it underscored, in striking tones, his strategy for winning the debt ceiling fight with Republicans: Make it a clash of classes.
- Rich versus Poor.
- Us versus Them.
- Those who support children, food safety, medical research and, presumably, puppies and apple pie versus the rich fat cats who don’t.
What we’re witnessing is a desperate man. He sees the polls, and his fundraising failures, so he’s pulling out all the stops.
Oh, and he also forgot to mention that the Porkulus bill he signed that was passed by his party included tax breaks to promote private jet sales. If he wanted the private jet industry to go out of business why did he throw away millions of dollars on it?

I say it’s the correct approach as it is getting all the usual suspects upset.

Any time Obama shows his true leftist nature, that’s good news because it makes his chances of re-election less likely. One day there may be enough welfare devotees to turn America into Greece, but that day hasn’t arrived just yet.
