This is sad news. Peter Falk, who is well known for his role in the Columbo movie series, died last night at the age of 83. Before we had kids Mr. LC and I spent a few lazy Saturdays watching Columbo movie marathons. Falk was perfect for the part of Lt. Columbo. Just a few weeks ago we had a rainy Saturday and I said I wished there was a Columbo movie to watch. I’ll be sure to check the listings and set the DVR.

I had to look up that NBC Mystery Movie theme song. I forgot Henry Mancini wrote it. That’s the show Columbo started on.

His T.V. character was a master at letting you think he hadn’t a clue about the case he was investigating.

One of my favorites….he had such a knack for drawing you into his movies…it didn’t matter that you knew from the very beginning that he’d get the bad guy/gal in the last 5 minutes of the show, it was just fun/entertaining watching him do it! And, let us not forget the Hallmark Christmas angel movies he made as well. RIP Peter.
