Advice for Newbie Bloggers

Doug Ross has some good advice for you newbie bloggers out there. Of course he mentioned the Instalanche.

Always link to larger blogs: you never know when the likes of Hot AirInstapundit or Michelle Malkin – incredibly prolific consumers of media — will notice and, perhaps someday, post a link to your site. Like losing your virginity, you will never forget your first Instalanche.

If you want to start a blog, or get your blog off the ground, you should read the whole thing. Just try to avoid the crash that comes after an Instalanche. Even if your stats pick up in the following days the numbers just won’t compare.

Also, develop a thick skin. You know what they say, “”if you can’t take the heat” and all that. Or you could just do what Stacy said.

Speaking of blogging, I’m very behind today. Sorry, I got busy. You know – living life. I would promise it won’t happen again, but that would just be kind of sad.

That Mr G Guy linked – thanks!
