Obama caught in yet another lie: Campaign sob story about his mother’s healthcare woes falls well short of the truth

It is said that the best lies contain some truth, and as evidenced on several occasions, Barack Obama is second to none in the use of this strategy.

The latest example comes from the 2008 campaign trail, where he repeatedly told the oh so heart rending tale of his mother being denied health coverage by an evil insurance company. Weaving the fable in his legendary dulcet tones to audiences wanting desperately to believe everything the man had to say, he proceeded to use this advantage to spin a tale fraught with deceit, about how his terminally ill mother spent her last days worrying about paying her medical bills.

Well, as it turns out, Obama’s mama actually did have medical coverage, provided by…wait for it…HER EMPLOYER, that in reality paid her medical expenses. The only thing she was denied was disability coverage that she didn’t actually qualify for.

Can it possibly get any lower than that?  Twisting his own mother’s tragic ordeal into a falsified campaign pitch.  The phrases low-life and scam-artist would not quite do him justice.

It would appear as though there is absolutely nothing in Obama’s progressive agenda that can be offered to, and accepted by, the populace without some level of duplicity. From healthcare to energy policy, from the “stimulus” to foreign policy, all of it is based on either withholding the truth, or fabricating the same.

What a miserable way to conduct the affairs of the highest office in the land.

How very sad, that the POTUS would stoop so low. Even more sad is that we’re all getting used to it. He also lied about raises for his staff at the twitter town hall. He wouldn’t know the truth if it smacked him in the face. Or maybe he would know it, and just deny it. That’s probably more like it.

If only the GOP had the stones to run ads exposing King Barry’s blatant fabrications, they might have a chance to de-throne him in 2012. If they play by Marquis of Queensberry rules, like they usually do, he’s gonna mop the floor with them again.

Thank God for bloggers. Maybe now the citizenry knows the importance of looking past rhetoric to see what is really there – an amoral liar who will tell his worshippers whatever he thinks they want to hear. Hopefully the numbers of the gullible will have decreased between 2008 and 2012.
