Yesterday on my way home from work I had the unfortunate luck of turning on the radio to President Obama speaking at Johnson Controls, a battery manufacturer. I could only take a few minutes and had to turn it off. I was just thinking that this man says more words without really saying anything at all, or anything new.
Maggie listened, and was disgusted.
I was appalled today to hear Obama tell an audience at Michigan’s Johnson Controls that he accomplished bringing the world’s largest auto companies together, doubled the distance some cars can go on a gallon of gas, saved consumers thousands, and he did it all without the help of Congress. I don’t know which is the most appalling, bypassing Congress or spending $2 Million PER JOB at Johnson Controls. The company received $300 million in grants for their battery manufacturing and added 150 jobs – that’s a cost of $2 Million spent per job – paid for out of the pockets of taxpayers.
After crowing about bypassing Congress, he had the nerve to say there’s nothing wrong with our country, but there’s something wrong with our politics. Translation: we are a two party system that needs to morph into a one party system. He blamed the Standard and Poors credit downgrade on a lack of compromise in Congress – a self-inflicted wound, he called it. Do you think he was referring to Democrats not compromising and wounding the nation?
Like a 20-year old, he told the country we could hear “the frustration” in his voice. Has he any idea how frustrated we were today to hear him say “…we’re going to hire some folks….” How can he hire without it being a government job?
Read the whole thing. She’s also got the transcript.
