Taking time out of his busy schedule of non-stop lying to the American public about how he is working tirelessly to create jobs and turn around the economy, Barack Obama will be the keynote speaker at the Human Rights Campaign’s annual dinner on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
Honestly though, the man is really to be admired. Just the fact that he can pour so much energy into his “laser-like focus on jobs” and yet still take time to address the needs of this poor, discriminated, and under-represented minority group is something to behold. A real selfless servant if ever there was one.
Setting aside this act of pure magnanimity for the time being, just for grins let’s put this upcoming speech in context to the one he just gave to the Congressional Black Caucus. Do you suppose he will scold his homosexual friends with something along the lines of “Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes, shake it off, stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying.”?
I‘m willing to place a very large wager that he won’t. Any takers?
Now perhaps, if he were to say something like, “take off those big smelly boots and put on your nice comfy bedroom slippers…” well then, we might be onto something.
However, if you really take the time to think about this, don’t these two disparate groups make strange bedfellows for Obama? I mean sure, homosexuals claim that their cause is “just like the civil rights movement” but we all know better than that.
What really makes our placater-in-chief’s latest attempt to be all things to all people even more curious is that according to a recent poll on YourBlackWorld.com, 60% of the African American respondents claimed that they are against gay marriage. ” The results from the poll are intriguing in light of the African American affiliation with the Democratic Party, which tends to support gay rights.”
Another report shows that African Americans and Latinos backed Proposition 8 in good numbers. Details here from KTVU.com:
Proposition 8 overturned a California Supreme Court decision legalizing gay nuptials and rewrites the state constitution to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Exit poll data showed seven in 10 black voters and more than half of Latino voters backed the ballot initiative, while whites and Asians were split.
Though blacks and Latinos combined make up less than one-third of California’s electorate, their opposition to same-sex marriage appeared to tip the balance.
With his poll numbers sinking like the average daily temps in Upstate NY, Obama has to now cater to both blacks and homosexuals, from different sides of the same issue.
Kind of reminds me of Obama’s other tightrope act. You know, the one where he “reaches out” to liberal U.S. Jewish groups for campaign cash with the promise of continued “friendship” with Israel, while simultaneously encouraging his radical Islamic brethren to keep on keepin’ on.
Eventually this man’s blatant duplicity has got to catch up with him, doesn’t it?
