The Obama Legacy: A Strip or Starve Economy

Well, here’s another sign of the times worth writing home about. A female lawyer couldn’t find a job in her field, so she’s stripping for a living. I’m not sure what ugly people are supposed to do in this economy, other than sue. Mail Online has the sad - or happy – story, depending on your perspective.

And now she has turned her finances around – and is earning enough to pay her fees for a Masters degree in law.

‘Did I ever think I’d be taking my top off for rent money? No. I was in my mid-30s and had never danced before,’ Carla, using her stage name, told MSNBC.

‘As a little girl, I never thought to myself, “I just want to grow up and be a stripper,” or, “All I ever wanted to do in life is climb in the lap of a sweaty stranger and take my top off.” But, with our economy the way it is, especially in smaller cities … you strip or you starve,’ she added. …

At first her family was concerned, but now they’re proud that she’s found a way to stay afloat in this dreadful economy. How sad is that?

Something tells me that President Obama won’t be touting all the stripper jobs he created. Well, unless he gets really desperate. Then he and his NLRB will just try to unionize them.

If they unionize the strippers, do you think they’d pay their union fees by stuffing it down the pants of their mob, err, union boss?

    An ironic sort of justice.

I remember seeing them doing some kind of “informational picketing” in front of the club in San Diego years ago. They were trying to go Teamsters. Figures.
