Herman Cain Denies Sexual Harassment Allegations

Herman Cain appeared on Fox News and denied the allegations of sexual harassment or other inappropriate conduct while he was the head of the National Restaurant Association.

According to Cain, an employee did falsely accuse him and an investigation found the claims to be without merit. When asked whether he settled the claim he said he did not. He said if the NRA settled the claim he was unaware of it, and he hopes they didn’t pay much.

Update 2: Of course, Politico’s Jonathan Martin isn’t going to get into details of the allegations.

Politico reporter Jonathan Martin, who co-wrote their article on Herman Cain, told MSNBC this morning that he just isn’t “going to get into the details” of what Cain allegedly said, did or “gestured.” Martin cites an incident that may or may not have happened where Cain may or may not have invited a woman up to his hotel room.

Some of Cain’s former colleagues find these allegations to be “completely unbelievable” and “completely hard to believe.”

What’s not hard to believe is the media’s grotesque double standard.

So. Do we have this right?

We can’t have a conservative black man in the Oval Office because he was once accused by anonymous women of “inappropriate behavior”?

But we can give a pass and an attaboy to a liberal white man who was actually in the Oval Office when accused of infinitely worse behavior by said multiples of women? Including, say again, rape? And now everybody just has a big ole laugh about it all at said ex-president’s 65th birthday when Lady Gaga shakes her booty at Bill and everybody roars?

Yes indeed.

That does appear to be the game.
