OWS Update: Threatening Reporters and Public Masturbation

Just when you thought the whole #occupy movement that the Democrats wholeheartedly embrace can’t get any more disgusting and criminal, come these stories.

In New York, a reporter who insists that things have been swell up until this point, was threatened with having his throat stabbed.

A protester, angered by the presence of a news crew inside Zuccotti Park Friday morning, threatened to stab Fox 5 News reporter John Huddy. Police arrested the protester.

What has been an otherwise violence-free period during his six weeks covering the Occupy Wall Street movement, took a turn for John Huddy. He explained what happened during Good Day New York.

“This is somebody I’ve come across several times for the last few days,” Huddy said. “He threatened to stab me in the throat with a pen. He ripped the mic out of my hand.”

“I have a meeting with Bloomberg,” said the incoherent protester.

Well, isn’t that swell? Which brings me to the next story. In Madison they may not be threatening reporters, but then again, I doubt witnessing strangers masturbating is up there on anyone’s bucket list.

City officials temporarily denied Occupy Madison a new street use permit Wednesday after protesters violated public health and safety conditions and failed to follow the correct processes to renew or amend a permit. …

A neighboring hotel’s staff alleged voiced concerns about having to recently escort hotel employees to and from bus stops late at night due to inappropriate behavior, such as public masturbation, from street protesters.

In addition, officials agreed further occupation should not be allowed to continue without restrooms on site to avoid further public health violations.

Well, that might want to make you think twice about using public restrooms.

John Hinderaker adds:

More, via your go-to site for the latest news on the Occupy crime wave, Occupy Wall Street Exposed, which is back in operation after surviving two days of DOS attacks and hacks by liberals. The latest in the liberal perp-walk: in New Hampshire, an Occupier is charged with felony prostitution for trying to pimp a 16-year-old girl.

But we’re supposed to believe that this movement represents 99% of Americans, while the peaceful Tea Parties are the fringe? Please.

Update: Memeorandum now has a thread.

Update 2: According to one of the commenters (below) there is no evidence of the public masturbation.

OWS is the media’s darling, LC. They can never do wrong even when it’s in your face. Public masturbation? I thought that’s what they were doing all along.

When you get right down to it, isn’t Occupy Wall Street- like public masturbation- just one big excercise in self-indulgence and self-gratification out there for everybody to see?

They should cordon off the entire area due to fluids being “shot around”. These animals are a health hazard. What happens when one of these Douch-Nozzles infects someone with their spooge? The penalties should be increased and every last one of these MF’ers should be indicted, tried, found guilty and sentenced to the least desirable prison in the country.

You sound like one of those useful idiots who compare these sociopaths to the Tea Party demonstrators who did nothing wrong, left no mess behind, and behaved like civilized members of the human kingdom. You are really a sick puppy.

We tracked this story down for my radio show this morning and it turns out to be wrong on both counts. According to the Madison Department of Parks – which we call for confirmation – Occupy Madison had a valid permit and was voluntarily relinquishing it to make way for a previously scheduled event and is now applying for a renewal for another location.

The story, which originated in the local college paper The Cardinal, also cited Parks employee Laura Bauman saying a nearby hotel was escorting employees to a bus stop to protect them from masturbating protesters. We talked with Ms. Bauman; she told us that she did not tell the paper that and no hotel has reported any inappropriate behavior. The alleged incident came from un named citizen who spoke at a Parks Commission hearing saying she had heard from unnamed sources that a hotel had taken the claimed action.

A police spokesman told us that no reports of indecent exposure or any other behavior had been filed with the police and that no hotel had contacted them for help.

So the story is wrong on the permit issue, wrong on the Parks employee issue and is based on an unnamed source citing an unnamed source at a public meeting claiming activities that show up in no reports or complaints
    anywhere.

Thanks for investigating the matter. To falsely vilify OWS is wrong and
certainly doesn’t help matters, but instead confuses the issues. I do not agree with OWS because I disagree with their basic ideas. For example, they believe “corporate greed” is to blame, while I believe government policies are at fault.
