This is great. A business owner has emblazoned his company trucks with signs saying “New Company Policy: We are not hiring until Obama is gone.” When I read the headline my son snickered “But I thought Obama was a job creator!” We all got a laugh about that one.
The owner is Bill Looman, a former US Marine who’s had enough of the Obama economy.
Looman’s company is U.S. Cranes, LLC. He said he put up the signs, and first posted pictures of the signs on his personal Facebook page, six months ago, and he said he received mostly positive reaction from people, “about 20-to-one positive.”
But for some reason, one of the photos went viral on the Internet on Monday.
And the reaction has been so intense, pro and con, he’s had to have his phones disconnected because of the non-stop calls, and he’s had to temporarily shut down his company’s website because of all the traffic crashing the system.
Looman made it clear, talking with 11Alive’s Jon Shirek, that he is not refusing to hire to make some political point; it’s that he doesn’t believe he can hire anyone, because of the economy. And he blames the Obama administration.
“The way the economy’s running, and the way my business has been hampered by the economy, and the policies of the people in power, I felt that it was necessary to voice my opinion, and predict that I wouldn’t be able to do any hiring,” he said.
Read the whole thing, it’s gotten so out of hand Looman was even visited by the Secret Service. At least they had a sense of humor about the situation.
How many more business owners out there have the same policy, but are less vocal about it?

[...] what did Looman get for his efforts and a 20 to 1 positive reaction from Americans … a visit from the Secret Service of course. Can you imagine, an American uses their First Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech and [...]

andy42302 is smoking crack. It was the Democrats that took the majority in Congress in 2006 and ran the economy into the ground, then had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a majority in the House when Obama was elected, and took a bad economy and made it ten times worse. He needs to go back to his community-based reality on the Left.

Nice try Finrod. Uh, well, actually that was a pretty sad excuse for a try now that I come to think about it. For starters, please identify a single or multiple legislation passed by the 110th Congress that contributed to running “the economy into the ground”. Go ahead, take your time. Google all you like. Nothing? Didn’t think so. Now that we’ve once again debunked that silly nonsense, keep in mind that not only all of the qualifiers for a tanked economy were not only in place when the 110th took office Jan 3, 2007 (not 2006 dumbass), but the crashed economy was PRIOR to Obama’s election.
Obama “took a bad economy and made it ten times worse”??? In what world? Let’s see, the recession is over, the GDP has rebounded, jobs are slowly picking up instead of losses, foreclosure rate is down, autos are again selling (including Ford and Toyota)and the Dow is much better.
Strolling back memory lane, when Obama took office the economy was in freefall, (and again, I challenge you to point to any legislation supporting your asinine blame towards Dems), something no president in American history had ever walked into. He was handed by the Bush Admin the Great Recession, an absolutely unneeded and costly war in Iraq, an abject failure on job creation, a huge deficit and budget ran amok, a health care system in ruins with an expected future drain on the economy in the $trillions, people losing their homes in record numbers, the auto industry sinking, a country ran 8 years by cronies and yes men, a country that saw 8 years of almost daily scandal after scandal, and the confrontation of a hostel GOP that like Mr Looman, root for failure of the country to promote their political agenda.
Hot debate. What do you think?

My Weekly Obama Jobs Report, Our Dickensian Future Edition…
There’s at least one Georgia company which isn’t buying Obama’s promise to focus on job creation. Bill Looman, a former US Marine, posted signs on his company’s trucks “New Company Policy: We are not hiring until Obama is gone.”…
