The War On Christians Continues

While President Obama was hugging an Islamic supremacist, news was breaking here in the US about the war on Christians by our own government. There are two stories that deserve your attention.

From Fox News: Obama Administration Opposes FDR Prayer at WWII Memorial:

Roosevelt asked the nation to join him in prayer as U.S. and allied troops launched the invasion that led to the defeat of Nazi Germany. He asked God to give the allied troops courage and faith, saying, “With thy blessing we shall prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy.”

But Robert Abbey, the director of the Bureau of Land Management, said any plaque or inscription of the prayer would “dilute” the memorial’s central message and therefore “should not be altered.”

“It is not a judgment as to the merit of this new commemoration, simply that altering the Memorial in this way, as proposed in HR 2070, will necessarily dilute this elegant memorial’s central message and its ability to clearly convey that message to move, educate, and inspire its many visitors,” Abbey said in written testimony.

So now documenting history dilutes the message? It’s kind of odd that President Obama had no problem being depicted as the next FDR, but when it comes to religion nobody should listen to the old schmo.

Maggie’s Notebook has the other story, which is heartbreaking.

The Air Force Academy has agreed to modify Operation Christmas Child, and it has apologized for attempting to send Christmas shoeboxes filled with gifts to more children than might be “proper.” The ‘Military Religious Freedom Foundation’ has astoundingly cowed the Academy.  With 4,400 cadets, 132 parents complained, including two sets of Muslim parents. Note that Christian Americans have given billions of dollars to Palestinians for the care of children following Islam, even though we abhor their faith. Then those dollars are used by Hamas to buy weapons to use against the Democracy sitting right next door.

Read the whole thing, then ask yourself what we’ve become.

In case you missed it, what we’ve become is a nation that supported the Arab Spring, which brought about the death of a Christian student for practicing his faith. Awful doesn’t begin to describe it.
