Christmas started out great. We went to a beautiful Mass last night. The kids woke us up nice and early and Santa was good to all of us. Our guests arrived right on time and we had a fabulous dinner. Then we thought we’d take the kids to try out those new ice skates. Need I say more?
On the bright side, having an obviously deformed wrist gets you seen right away in the ER. On the not-so-bright side, I’m having trouble typing with one hand and the sweet medication that was injected into my bone before the closed reduction is wearing off, so I think I’ll call it a day. Say a little prayer that I won’t need surgery. I should know in about a week.
Merry Christmas.
Update: Linked by The Other McCain - thanks Smitty!
Update 2: The First Street Journal linked – thanks.
It is Monday now and the pain hasn’t subsided. Hopefully in a day or two I will be feeling better.
Update: Zilla linked -thanks! And thanks to everyone for the kind words and thoughts. The pain hasn’t killed me yet, so I guess that’s good.

Sorry to hear. Get well soon.

I’m so sorry. Here’s wishing you a speedy recovery. I broke my wrist myself, skateboarding, years ago, in my 20s. Took a long time to heal, sorry to say. On the bright side, you get to read some books for a while. Don’t worry about the blog. Try to pound out a couple words with a link or two in the mornings and forget it. Or, just forget it for a bit and heal and be well. New Year’s coming!

Sheesh, I knew that was a foolish question when I posted it. Obviously, you can drink twice as fast.
