The Democrats are at it again. They want to pass an extension of the payroll tax cut. They also have to pass an omnibus spending bill in order to keep the government funded. The Republicans in the House gave the Democrats what they wanted, they just included a few things they wanted. It’s called compromise. So of course, the Democrats who refuse to compromise are threatening to shut down the government. Harry Reid declared that the House bill was dead on arrival, threatening to shut down the government, again.
The Obama administration is alerting employees to the possibility of a government shutdown if talks on bills to fund the government and extend the payroll tax cut collapse later this week.
With Congress facing a midnight Friday deadline to either pass a short-term or final measure to fund government operations for the remainder of the fiscal year, Cabinet secretaries and agency heads planned to send an e-mail message to workers by close of business Wednesday informing them that a shutdown could occur, according to multiple administration officials familiar with the plans.
I wonder if President Obama will again threaten to withhold seniors’ Social Security checks, and pay checks for members of our military. He did it before, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he does it again. For now, he’s just vowing to act without Congress.

The Republican controlled House must respond in the only way that the president can understand. Impeach each member of the administration that has broken the law, from Holder to Kagan!
