Obama Celebrates Hanukkah Two Weeks Early, Never Needs a Good Excuse to Party

Hanukkah begins on December 20 this year. I suppose President Obama’s 17 day Hawaiian vacation interferes with his celebration of the season of light, so he decided to celebrate a couple of weeks early. You know, because he “never need[s] a good excuse for a party.”

So while it is not yet Hanukkah, let’s give thanks for our blessings, for being together to celebrate this wonderful holiday season.  And we never need an excuse for a good party.  (Laughter.)

I’ll bet the millions of unemployed Americans out there aren’t laughing.

The Weekly Standard added:

I guess the president could have said the same thing about his golf habit. As Mitt Romney’s campaign has noted, the president has played “1,584 holes since 2009.″

I’m sure he’ll be up over 1,600 holes before his vacation even starts.

Update: Via Drudge, here’s a photo of Obama with all of the candles lit on the Menorah. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he took eight minutes to light the candles.

Update 2: Scared Monkeys linked – thanks!
