Newt Gingrich released the 2006 contract between his firm, the Gingrich Group, located on K Street in Washington, DC, and Freddie Mac. It’s posted at the Washington Post and a quick scan shows it to be standard contract language for “consultant and consultant related services.”
The fee agreed upon was $25,000 per month with a maximum payout of $300,000 for the year. So we’re missing a few years and over $1 million worth contracts. I couldn’t find any mention of “historian” in the contract.
Update: The Washington Eaxminer pointed out that Gingrich was hired not by Freddie Mac’s CEO, but the head of its lobbying operations.
Update 2: Lady Liberty linked – thanks!
