Did you hear that President Obama plans to accept his reelection bid in an even bigger venue than his 2008 extravaganza? I would have thought he would have been a bit more humble this time around seeing that we now have millions more unemployed Americans than when he took office. But his ego is bigger than ever, not to mention payback to his allies, like Bank of America.
Michelle Malkin has the dirty details.
President Obama, man of the people, will deliver his presidential nomination acceptance speech at the Bank of America Stadiumin Charlotte, N.C. — so that Democratic Party fundraisers can reward big donors with skyboxes and other lavish perks.
As usual, the White House and its allies are trying to camouflage naked partisan money-grubbing in populist garb.
“I think this would be a great opportunity to have tens of thousands of North Carolinians and others outside of the state to see and participate in the convention process,” one North Carolina Democratic Party flack told the Charlotte Observer.
But it’s the heavyweight contributors, not the hoi polloi, to whom convention organizers are catering as they struggle to raise some $37 million to cover the coronation celebration’s costs. The self-proclaimed Party of the 99 Percent is reportedly busy creating special-access VIP packages for the 1 percent — under the illusion of throwing open its doors to the masses. DNC officials refuse to disclose fundraising updates until after the convention, even as they champion their own “openness and accessibility.”
And no doubt, Obama will use his stadium-size pulpit to “stand up” to the very same “fat cats” who’ll be watching him while sipping Courvoisier in their DNC-appointed luxury seats.
Read the whole thing. Bank of America has quite a cozy relationship with the Democrats. I guess that’s a corporation we’re supposed to like. I’ll say this, every offer for credit they send to our household ends up in the shredding bin.

I was done with BoA years ago when they were issuing credit cards to illegals.
I think Dear Leader is being a bit cheap with this whole acceptance speech thing in Charlotte. He could do this from Greece, rent the entire Acropolis and have real columns for bargain basement prices:

Televised globally, donning a toga with crown, sound engineers would provide the god-like echo-reverb tone when speaking while looking into gold trimmed Teleprompters. Michelle could go to the all you can eat Gyro spots too.

The Dems need more campaign money, buying votes for someone who has accomplished nothing in the first three years in office must be able to buy influence somehow!
Obama needs 4 more years to sucker people and refuse to supply an energy plan that works! Today he proclaimed, he can’t take the heat! The Republicans forced him to abdicate and reject the Canadian pipeline project because there was no Soros money at stake!
The president has made it clear, if there is nothing in a deal that will profit his donors, there is no reason to consider the needs of the people! This is the mantra of Chicago style politics!

The first thing Obummer did when he got in office was steal GM from their shareholders and give it to his Union mob boys as payback for getting him elected. Then he went after B of Amer Chairman and THREATENED him personally. When BofA Chairman testified to Congress of the threats (catching Bernancke is LIES UNDER OATH) he was really in hot water. The entire Board of BofA resigned (probably fearing for their life from Union Mob threats)and now the new Board is one of fellow ‘community organizers’. These CROOKS in the White House need to be thrown in jail.

He should rent the King Ranch in south Texas to have room for all the American unemployed so he can lie to all of them at the same time, while his pickpockets fleece them of anything they have left from his economy.
