Pepsi Beverages Co. was slapped with a $3.1 million fine for screening job applicants for criminal histories. The federal government has deemed the widely used screening method to be racist! Seriously.
Pepsi Beverages Co. will pay $3.1 million to settle federal charges of race discrimination for using criminal background checks to screen out job applicants – even if they weren’t convicted of a crime.
The settlement announced Wednesday with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is part of a national government crackdown on hiring policies that can hurt blacks and Hispanics.
EEOC officials said the company’s policy of not hiring workers with arrest records disproportionately excluded more than 300 black applicants. The policy barred applicants who had been arrested but not convicted of a crime, and denied employment to others who were convicted of minor offenses. (Read More)
Let’s see, employers can’t do criminal background checks and they can’t require a high school diploma. Is there any hiring criteria that’s allowed these days? This is how the folks in the Obama administration think jobs will be created?

“Disproportionately excluded 300 black applicants”?? If you have 700 applicants and 375 have criminal backgrounds and of that number, 300 of them happen to be black, is that racist? Or merely being AWAKE??

The federal government sidesteps logic and cries foul through their application of a cheap unconstitutional theory of racial profiling!
This allows all black and all Latino drug smuggling gangs to operate freely because making arrests would receive Holder’s stamp of wrongful abuse of the law! Profiling charges are used effectively to perpetrate reverse discrimination on American citizens.
Note: This is a social theory developed at the University of Chicago, and is not found within the constitution; however, it is a favorite ploy played by the federal system to promote crime!
This concept is used against the citizens of Arizona, when the police stop cars with only Latinos! Holder says this is clear evidence of racial profiling!
The DOJ has little fear of promoting justice! They seem to want to protect criminals in exchange for votes!
