Chris Christie appeared on the Piers Morgan show and the topic turned to Warren Buffett’s calls for higher taxes on the wealthy. Christie was having none of it, and said Buffett should just “write a check and shut up.”
“He should just write a check and shut up,” Christie said Tuesday on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.” “Really, and just contribute. The fact of the matter is that I’m tired of hearing about it. If he wants to give the government more money, he’s got the ability to write a check — go ahead and write it.
“I’m so tired of talking about Warren Buffett,” Christie said, interrupting Morgan. “What are you going to bring up next, his secretary? I mean, this is the old song.”
“You haven’t even heard the question,” Morgan exclaimed.
“I know the question,” Christie replied. “Do you really think Warren Buffett needs as much attention from the government as the most vulnerable … since I got the question right, I’m not answering the question, how about that. That’s my gift for getting the question right.”
Christie also said the tax code should be fair to everyone.

“Newdome,” why is it that you liberals almost always resort to name calling when you don’t have a logical retort to a conservative’s statement? Why is he a “fat buffoon” for wanting all of us to be able to keep more of our hard earned money? Why is it “good” to give it to government so they can just waste more and more, and run up larger and larger debts? Could not Buffett just go ahead and write his check? Why does he have to wait around for the rest of us who don’t want to give the bloody government anymore of our $? See if you can address my points without calling me names. Thanks.

…and, while he’s at it, wanting to be a “hero to the little people” for offering to pay higher taxes (just as soon as everyone else is forced to, you’ll notice…) why doesn’t Buffet do something ACTUALLY helpful and heroic—like offer to allow me a refinance on the mortgage I have and he owns–not because I sit at his feet and bleed and weep, having gotten in over my head and lost a gamble–but because I DESERVE his best interst rate?? Having purchased within my means, for a legitimate reason, maintained my excellent credit history even in this God-awful disaster of an economy, and always paid my mortgage a day early? HOW ‘BOUT THAT, WARREN? That’s within your power every day…. no, we forget, he’s just another tool and doesn’t mean a thing he rabbits on about.
He should absolutely write a big fat check or shut up already.

The top 10% pay 70% of all income taxes, while the bottom 50% pay 2% of total income taxes collected. See the link here: http://ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html
I’m glad there’s grid lock so those liberal dems will keep their greedy fingers out of our wallets. Under the Equal Protection clause of the US Constitution (thank you Sandra Say O’Connor), everyone should pay the same rate, with no deductions. Just lower that dam rate. If you want to end wars sooner, implement a war tax, to pay for those dam foreign wars, instead of borrowing the money from China in order to wage war-you’ll see how fast these foreign wars come to an end.

Please, get rid of the progressive, communist, free nation-destroying, Marxist tax. Communism has and is murdering hundreds of million born and unborn fellow human beings. And that is not the only evil it, or any kind of socialism is capable of.
Please, realize that a “25%” (marginal) tax bracket can also be
accurately described as a “33 1/3%” tax bracket.
[25/100 or 25/(100-25)]. “intrinsic” or “extrinsic”.
Please, consider the Fair Tax. http://www.fairtax.org And realize that it proposes getting rid of ALL hidden and unhidden taxes and imposing one, paid by every consumer, same rate, only one “loophole” (tax on purchases up to poverty level are “prebated” before they are paid, monthly) tax.
Thank you.
Stanley
P.S. Thank you Mr. Buffet for any donations you may make to reduce the national debt.
Thank you Mr. Buffet for any donations you may make to the Fair Tax cause.
Thank you Mr. Buffet for any publicity and speeches you may make in favor of the Fair Tax.
