I arrived at CPAC this morning through the side entrance. Several security officers greeted me, and today I had my bag searched before I was allowed on to the elevator. There also was a heavy security presence throughout the building. I couldn’t tell if there is more today than yesterday, but I didn’t get my bag searched yesterday. I asked one of the security guards if they were expecting trouble, and he told me everything will be just fine.
At about 11 AM I left through the lobby and the Marriott’s driveway has a police car on either side of the circle.
There was also an officer on the side street leading up to the driveway.
I walked around the corner and saw another police car parked on Calvert Street, and three more on the corner of Calvert and Connecticut. I’ll be heading back over in just a little while and will let you know if the union goons or occupods cause any trouble.
I went to Blog Bash for a little while last night. They gave out nice goodie bags to all of the bloggers. I only took one photo, I didn’t stay long because my feet were killing me. (Note to self – don’t wear heels to CPAC ever again!) Here’s my friend Pete, Da TechGuy, who was uploading video during the party. He was telling a story at the time and talking with his hands.
Speaking of video, I taped Rick Santorum’s speech, but it was kind of long so I won’t be able to upload that until later. I also got another great video that I’ll post as soon as it’s ready.
Update: I just got a call from Da TechGuy – the mob has showed up. I have to go!

Yes, CONSERVATIVES are the ones who hate America…except for the fact that they’re the ones trying to keep the principles of the constitution intact and LIBERALS are the ones trying to change everything.
If you actually KNEW your history, you would know that the “klan” was highly democrat and the democratic party had SEVERAL well-known and open klan members in very high public offices.

Because I believe in individual freedom of choice. I don’t need the government telling what to do, what toI think, what to eat, and who I should give my money to. Democrats want the government to control every aspect of your life, which is fine if you don’t like to think for yourself, but Republicans expect you to act like an adult, be responsible for your own actions, and except the consequences of said actions.

That is true, Stu; I would say I’m in a 50/50 pool of people on a daily basis–half liberals, half conservatives. I hear a lot of black jokes, remarks that if illegals are stopped from entering the country “who will be our maids and gardeners?”, photos taken that are meant to make fun of Islam…and this flood of intolerance is from the Democrats I know–both the rich ones and the blue collar ones. While all of my conservative contacts want Obama out of office, they have never once talked about his color—only his Marxist tendencies. The greatest lie is that Liberals are tolerant. Often, in private, they’re not even PC; they’re not even decent.
