Dependence On Government Skyrocketed Under Obama

President Obama says he deserves four more years to finish the job. When you hear statistics like this, it makes you wonder what he means, does he want every one of us dependent on welfare? If so, who will be left to pay for it?

The American public’s dependence on the federal government shot up 23% in just two years under President Obama, with 67 million now relying on some federal program, according to a newly released study by the Heritage Foundation.

The conservative think tank’s annual Index of Dependence on Government tracks money spent on housing, health, welfare, education subsidies and other federal programs that were “traditionally provided to needy people by local organizations and families.”

The increase under Obama is the biggest two-year jump since Jimmy Carter was president, the data show. (Read More)

It only gets worse from there. “Dependence programs” are eating up a whopping 70% of the federal budget, while we have fewer and fewer people paying taxes. That’s Obama’s idea of fairness.

Just remember that he never means “fair”. He means “equal”, which–in and of itself–is not possible. We are NOT equal. Some of us are more talented than others, and less talented than those who excel in areas which we do not. Unless you sign onto the immorality of “from each according to his abilities, to each according to his need” it’s all an immoral, disastrous idea. The saddest thing is that in the United States, we have never really needed Government to take care of us. We took care of our own families, our own circle of faith, our own neighbors and communities. He has already succeeded in “fundamentally transforming the United States”. I have never in my lifetime seen such class hatred–something that belongs in many other countries, but not this one. Not a country where any man could be President despite the circumstances of his birth (just look at our Kenyan president).

I hope that his damage can be reversed, but since we conservatives meekly abandoned the educational system to Progressives decades ago, I’m not at all certain that it can be. There are people who have not spent a day of their lives with individualistic, self-reliant thoughts in their heads.

The TEA Party who PROUDLY wave American Flags, or OWS who literally crap on the American Flag???

Enslaving a nation is a process that involved increased dependency on government, followed by a revolt that transforms the country into a slave state. The government takes the money from the people and spends as desired. Reference: Cuba, North Korea, and coming soon Egypt and Libya!

I’m sure liberalman failed to notice that Bush spent the last 2 years in office with a Democrat controlled congress. He had Barney Frank blocking his attempts to investigate Fannie and Freddie for mortgage fraud. Even more sinister was the back room wheeling and dealing of the Clinton WH to set up the nation for failure!

It’s funny you’re demanding proof, cause whan I asked you for proof of your claims, you just resort to childish name calling.
