Has Jeb Bush listened to any of President Obama’s speeches lately? Does he hear the Democrats claiming that Republicans want to keep women from accessing contraception, and all of their other lies? If he has, I wonder why he isn’t directing his criticism towards Obama, rather than the candidates who want to unseat him in November. Then again, he did say he “used to be conservative” when he accused Republicans of fear mongering, so what should we expect?
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Thursday that he found it “troubling” that the 2012 presidential candidates are “appealing to people’s fears and emotion” on the campaign trail, according to reports.
Bush expressed concern about the type of rhetoric the candidates were using, but didn’t offer specifics or mention names.“I used to be a conservative, and I watch these debates and I’m wondering, I don’t think I’ve changed, but it’s a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people’s fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective, and that’s kind of where we are,” said Bush, according to Fox News.
“I think it changes when we get to the general election. I hope,” he added, according to wire service UPI.
He also asserted that it was important for the presidential candidates to appeal not only to Republican primary voters, but independent voters as well. (Read More)
This is the guy the establishment wants to serve up at the GOP convention if there’s no clear nominee at that point. Thanks, but no thanks.
Update: I couldn’t find the video of the comments noted above, but here he is telling ABC News that Republicans are turning off independents.
Update: Lady Liberty linked – thanks!

The Jebster needs to get a grip and look at the Obama Regime. Chiding his own party only makes him look like a true GOP establishment dolt, like his parents and brother. Progressives indeed.

…”used to be a conservative” wipes him right off the map. Period. No matter how he might try to explain that away.
