In 2004, when unemployment “unexpectedly” went down to 5.4%, then State Senator and US Senate candidate Barack Obama delivered a radio address slamming George W. Bush for “three dismal years of job loss.” He wondered how people would retire with dignity. Today, people are dropping out of the work force in despair, which is the only reason the official unemployment rate isn’t at 11%. Even with the government fudging the numbers, it’s still over 8%.
Of course, back then he was slamming corporate profits and tax cuts just like he is today.

Well isnt this most inconvenient news for the WH to respond to? Someone call Al Gore, he reports on stuff like an inconvenient truth!
But Bush broke the system just to make our Fave democrat look bad!
No worries though, Obama needs 4 more years to completely doom the process!

even IF that was true…Obama has KILLED more jobs than the last four presidents combined. “making” a couple hundred thousand jobs doesn’t seem like much when you’ve lost a couple million jobs in the process.
unemployment hasn’t been this bad since Carter. FACT!

Does anyone out there know if the unemployment numbers have always previously included or not included an estimate of those who have dropped out or stopped looking for work? Is this a new way of tabulating the unemployment numbers? Robertwoodward1964@yahoo.com
