This probably isn’t a big deal to anyone outside of Central New York, but Syracuse University’s College Republicans are pretty excited about it. Karl Rove will speak at the Goldstein Auditorium on February 15 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The event will be open to the public. Yours truly will be there to document any shenanigans from the Occupiers and other lefties.

Rove masterminded Bush’s 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns. He served as the president’s senior advisor until 2007 and as deputy chief of staff from 2004 to 2007, helping to guide strategic initiatives, political affairs, intergovernmental affairs, public liaison and policy.
Rove now is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal and Fox News.
He also helped create the super-PAC American Crossroads and the nonprofit issue group Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies. The groups, without coordinating with the Republican Party, help GOP candidates for Congress and the presidency. Together they raised $51 million last year, according to news reports published Tuesday.
American Crossroads’ influence was felt in Republican Ann Marie Buerkle’s successful campaign in 2010 to unseat Rep. Dan Maffei, a Democrat, in the 25th Congressional District including Syracuse. The group at one point pledged to spend more than $400,000 on ads ads attacking Maffei. (Read More)
