President Obama officially launched “African Americans for Obama” in the video below. Of course he used the same old class warfare rhetoric we’ve all become so accustomed to.
How post-racial of him.
According to Prison Planet, the campaign is urging African Americans to violate the law and get their churches to shill for his reelection.
Not only is Obama playing the race card in an attempt to pressure black Americans into voting for him, he is also violating the separation between church and state. In the video promo for the campaign, Obama urges black people to pressure churches into supporting his administration by getting his message out via “the faith community”. He also calls on voters to become “congregation captains”.
Again, imagine what the reaction would be any of the Republican candidates launched a ‘Whites for Romney’, ‘Whites for Santorum’ or ‘Whites for Gingrich’ campaign. There would be non-stop uproar. But Obama does the equivalent and gets a free pass.
“I thought race didn’t matter Mr. President?” asks Chad Hasty. “I don’t think MLK would be too pleased with you at all. African-Americans for Obama? Give me a break. Under this President, more blacks are unemployed. More blacks are on food stamps. If I had to bet though, Obama will still pull 93% of the black vote. Again, just a wild guess.”

Good grief. I mean….really, what else can you say? What a seriously despicable thing to those of us who really didn’t grow up with color as an issue. With few exceptions, my black friends are so unimpressed with Barack Obama he couldn’t PAY them enough to vote for him and they get really irked when people make an assumption about their votes—as they should!

Our President, that from day one has used every divisive tactic on Americans, from money to race to religion to the type of energy and foodstuffs you consume, continues to claim the title of unifier, bringing us all together as a nation. He uses his skin color to dupe and convey victim status and a comradery as a person that “struggled” as a non-white. Nonsense, he’s never struggled and as a President we know very little detail about his past. Many people make hay out of Samuel L Jackson saying he voted for Obama because he is black. Well it’s easy to say that is poor judgement on his part, but considering the totality of history, it makes perfect sense that “black America” would vote for Obama. I see no problem with that. Frankly, I appreciate his answer much better than if he has said “I voted for Obama because I was looking for a man to shred this awful Constitution and finally implement Marxism here in the west”.
Now, that Obama pulled the black vote (and yes, on racial credentials) in 2008 is one thing – and I say it is an understandable thing… a obvious thing. BUT if Obama pulls anywhere near the same percentage in 2012 that would demonstrate that there is some fundamental difference between the races of this planet.
It’s more than a meter of belief… I know there is not and I know that black American will not be responsible for the votes Obama gets this time around. His votes come from (yes… many blacks… sure) but from whites that can’t get past party politics (too many years spent routing for the favorite sports teams) and from whites who believe in “progressive” ideals.
One thing I believe that is significant in eliminating Obama’s reliance on the black vote he has in 2008 is that the Christian influence in the African American community is strong and effectively “trumps” race. Obama clearly has misrepresented himself as a Christian and that infuriates Christians white, black and otherwise.
Another factor, I believe, in reducing the black vote for Obama is that there have risen some seriously strong leaders of conservative credentials who are black. More than just a few “tokens” as the liberal whites like to say, there are many such men and you just can’t get past their strength. Although there are many, and Herman Cain is obvious, congressman Allen West is a great example of a man who is able to combine intellect with character, leadership and articulation in such a way that his opposition (regardless of their race) cannot talk over him or past him.
Happily (IMO) Clarance Thomas is a man who has waited a very long time to break free of him being a black man to being an American who all Americans can be proud of as a representative of our nation. Sad that it has taken 25 years to get there, but the past. Clarance Thomas is way more than a role model for race… he is a role model for America.
In conclusion – the bulk of this post will be rejected and my name excoriated by liberals (progressives, socialists, Marxists all the same thing). Yeah, so what?
